Even if we sign Hartenstein, still it's not clear what our starting five will be. Maybe Mark will start Wiggins or even Dieng??

I think it will be:
SGA-Dort-Caruso-JDub-Chet
Basically you are switching Giddey with Caruso.. for sure you are smaller, but in the regular season I don't see that as a big matter
In the postseason you can change starting lineup based on your opponent
Personally I would prefer trading for a true PF than signing Hartestein, but I don't see a lot of options now (for example I think that DFS has been available for trades during the draft)

You start IH and you bring him out first for a guard.
Chet is a C for sure but he’s young enough that he can still develop and expand his skillset by learning how to play PF.

Chet is the present and the future of OKC, I wouldn’t sacrifice him at PF just in order to play Hartestein at Center…
The only reason I could consider to switch Chet At 4 is buying a Center better than Chet.. but this will not happen for sure

Love both deals .
Thats 12m and 8m for them. Fairly movable if required.

5m more than I’m comfortable with (75m/3 years)
But it’s not my money so let’s go!

Re: OKC Thunder Trades and Transaction Thread
Love the off season so far. Lineup looks much improved:
C: Chet
PF: JDub
SF: Caruso
2G: Dort
PG: SGA
or
C: IHart
PF: Chet
SF: JDub
2G; Dort
PG: Caruso
Rotation:
IHart/Joe/Wiggins/Wallace
Could still use another competent center/PF assuming they aren't bringing back JWill.

That contract only makes sense if it is the end of the 5-man out experiment and he is the starting center. There is still a trade that needs to happen. Kenrich and Dieng with picks for another quality big man. Kenrich, Dieng and picks can bring back about $14.5M in salary. Who should they be going after?
SGA/Cason/Topic
Dort/Caruso/Joe
JDub/Wiggins/Jones
Chet/Kenrich/Dieng
Hartenstein/Jaylin

One more slot, but over the cap by about $3M. I *think* they can still use the full MLE as even with that they would be $15M under the tax line.

Thanks ! Not sure what’s available out there. Probably keeping it for buyouts
