Tobias is the Kirk Cousins of the NBA.

Muscala should get a championship ring if we win one.

Sixers still need a starting SG. I don't think it'll be Gordon and it certainly won't be Oubre, not sure why ESPN keeps penciling him in as a 2.

I'd be down for it; I think I saw or heard something that he was actually really good on catch and shoot.

We should generally be expecting Lowry back, right? That always seemed like the discussion for both sides last year. Probably be him starting at the 1 and Maxey at the 2.

I mean if Woj added it then the Oubre’s agent must of told him that we promised him that. I think it’s more certain then not that he is the starting 2.

I thought that, but that might have just been his own commentary. Oubre has always played more of a forward type role. Shooting has never been his strength it would be odd to play him as a SG with Embiid who needs shooting. At the 3 or 4 though he's a far superior fit.

I’d rather he come off the bench but Woj stating specifically starting two guard and then in the article he stated

“One important development late Sunday for George, sources said: the Sixers' agreement on a two-year, $16.3 million deal with shooting guard Kelly Oubre Jr.”

Idk exactly what he meant by that but it makes it seem like him penciling him at the 2 wasn’t really his opinion.

But on Gary Trent Jr I think we would all love to put him at the 2 if he willing to take 8 mil. But the rumor is he doesn’t like Nick Nurse.

He started like every game he was on our team for last year. Nothing wrong with him running the show quietly, especially with another decent creator in PG to actually make things happen. Kinda surpirsed you all are back all the way on Maxey starting at the 1.

I think Oubre starts so he can be our primary wing defender to minimize wear & tear on PG during the regular season.

Maxey should start at point guard instead of the tiny backcourt. Easier now that Jo took a playmaking leap and PG can play point forward also.

Lowry should be the backup PG next year.

I'm not overly impressed with Maxey's talent—don't get me wrong, I think he's good but not exceptional. However, I love his personality and dedication to the team. For instance, he passed up the chance for an extension during the season just to help us clear max cap space to sign George.

Not sure what's going on with you haha. Feel like you've been the ultimate contrarian this offseason.

Man Maxey is the truth and his trajectory points towards Dame/Steph. That a top 2-10 player in the leaugue. With his age and growth the sky is the limit. Everything was proven in the playoffs. You don't do those things if you're not uber talented.

Randle/Mitchell, Chet/iHart, Gordon/Jokic, Washington/Gafford….league is going big and I think these are the teams that will give us fits.

Jo has had no issues with Gordon/Jokic or with Randle/Mitchell. Gotta remember he was hurt against the Knicks.

Washington and Gafford are too small for him.

Chet Ihart would be interesting. On their own he dominates them, combined it could be harder. Again though Ihart played well against Jo when he was hurt.

I believe Nurse and Trent Jr. don't get along.

Of those, I think Walker, Harris and Saric are most likely to take a vet min.

I’m not worried about Embiid but the rest of the team will be physically outmatched here. We got wrecked on the boards all of last year. Effort was a part of it, but so was size. The Knicks series was just the most obvious exposure.

Where is DeRozan going? Doesn't seem like there's a lot of money out there for him left.

Agreed, if we don't sell the farm for Lauri, need a hound at the PF.

I'd guess he goes to the Lakers or back to the Bulls.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
