I always heard Weaver had Chet #1. This year would be Sarr. Haha Wiseman, Chet, Wemby, Sarr. The perfect string of Weaver picks.

Maxey is awesome now. Hes improved every season. Best floater ITL just so crafty. Hit the all star team this year.

Never forget that if Troy had pick 1 in that draft he was passing Ball and Edwards.

I think some people don't give credit to player experiences we don't see how being teammates with another player can push the development of another. I.E Maxey probably wouldn't have been as good as he is now without James Harden.

He does, but I don't think he would have changed the Case Draft because he was hurt his rookie season.

Maxey made big improvements his 2nd year way before Harden even joined the team later in the season. Not saying being around good players doesnt help but the most important thing is natural what you're born with talent and a players work ethic. Like is a guy spending his offseason partying or is a guy spending his offseason with other players across the league grinding to be the best he can be.

Also alot of these UK guards have went pro and just gotten way way better. I've been all over drafting guards from there for years due to that factor.

Every team is much better if they catch the star that drops.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I think Weaver drafted fine, in most cases at the time of the draft he got the best prospect, even Hayes was rated over Haliburton by most experts, and Haliburton fell 5 spots, Maxi went in the 20's, all of this is in hindsight, at the time most people were happy.

Stewart was a deadscratcher at the time, but Bey was looked at like a steal at 19.

People were overjoyed that Ivey fell to 5 for the Pistons to grab, and Duren looked like a steal at 13.

I think Ausar was clearly the best choice in 2023 too, although time will tell, I'm pretty sure people were happy with that draft in the majority.

Between the draft, free agency, and trades, he just failed to put together a team that fit at all.
