I'm good with Delon, he's a guy I've wanted awhile, like others said hopefully it's not a few years too late

Yes, for a veteran with 9+ years of experience but only $2,087,519 will count against the cap.

As long as he can still defend, I like it.

Alright sure, can he run the point in non Dame minutes? Seems like that would close the door on a Pat Bev return?

I was hoping to get Pat Bev back but also we're far from the first team to decide that a couple months of the Pat Bev experience is sufficient, even though I liked the juice be brought to a team that's sometimes guilty of sleepwalking through games.

If this is the Delon we get, I like it.

I have a weird feeling Pats gonna end up back in Philly.

Isn't there a rule that some amount of time has to elapse after you trade someone before that player can return to the team that traded you? It may not be applicable in this situation since its a different season though.

I saw on Twitter that this was signed with the TpMLE…..means we have another move coming.

I like it. Very good catch and shoot guy, decent size and can play next to Dame and still a very decent, underrated defender. Solid at the point of attack against guys who tend to give us trouble.

I'm fine w/ it, but just to be clear though, because Horst's intern must read this board - this can't be our starting SG. He should be in Pat Bev's role, before he got moved into the lineup by necessity.

That’s a nice minimum signing, and he has the defensive versatility that even if we made a trade and brought in a different PG or SG, he would be able to slide over to the other position easily enough.

I'll take it. Wasn't really interested in bringing back Pat Bev and Dunn will very likely be out of their price range. I feel better about the backup PG spot now.

Additionally, AJ Johnson might be able to pick up some defensive tricks from Wright as similar players (6'5 combo guards).

I really wanted the Bucks to sign Delon in the buyout market since he would've been a good player to match up with Boston so I'm definitely happy about this.

This. I don’t see how this is anything but a downgrade? Wright doesn’t really create anything in the offensive end for himself or others.

Dec. 2023 profile:

Wright being traded five times in eight-plus seasons and playing for so many bad teams belies his value.

First, we’ll start with his defense, which is likely the best and most underrated part of his game. He’s 6-foot-5 but possesses the speed and lateral quickness of a point guard. He’s impactful, averaging 2.1 steals per 36 minutes for his career. His 4.8 deflections per 36 minutes were second only to the Bulls’ Alex Caruso last season (minimum 50 games). During his time with the Wizards, Washington is nearly 4.5 points better defensively per 100 possessions with Wright on the floor. He often takes on the opponent’s lead ball handler and generally acquits himself well. If he isn’t considered a “game-changer” defensively, he’s pretty damn close.

Offensively, he can dribble, pass and (sometimes) shoot. Like Maxey, he takes excellent care of the basketball. For his career, he’s averaged less than a turnover per game. He’s a decent playmaker, averaging over three assists per game. He’s one of the craftier players in the league, able to change speeds and direction to manipulate defenders. He’s proven to be a good finisher, finishing in the 98th percentile among guards in that category last season, per Cleaning the Glass.

The shot is the trickier thing to figure out. He’s a career 35.2% shooter from deep on low volume. That doesn’t seem great, but it’s worth noting that his shooting seems to be better when he’s in better offensive ecosystems (duh).

Are we sure they didn't just report it wrong by .3m? There's not much difference for anybody involved & it'd save Bucks hassle.

As far as Wright vs Pat Bev... Love Pat Bev but hes too Pat Bev for a team with title hopes. Would rather have the guy who just goes to work and keeps his mouth shut.

Plus, i highly doubt that Wright is starting
