Bev is a worst 3p shooter at this point, 3 inches shorter, and 4 years older than wright. Wright, as far as I know, also doesn't harass reporters, pick up stupid techs, nor whip balls at fans.

A trade is definitely on the way

Are we sure they didn't just report it wrong by .3m? There's not much difference for anybody involved & it'd save Bucks hassle.

Was it George Hill that we went through something similar with where we were all like "Surely we couldn't have messed this up by $100,000 or whatever and this will be corrected to keep our flexibility intact" and then it turned out we did in fact mess it up?

This isn't a matter of flexibility. It's a matter of whether the deal is even possible.

I'm guessing that either the tweet is wrong or the amount is wrong.

I'm pretty sure Pat Bev still might be the better player, but I think this signals that, like pretty much every team that acquires him, they had enough of Bev's antics already and opted to move on.

By the way, I want Bev back, too.

I've been begging for Wright for years, but I've kind of moved on. Still like it though. 40% from 3 in his playoff career. PoA defender. A bit of a coaster, but absolutely locks in come playoff time. Not abrasive like Bev.

I think it was the same kinda thing with Hill (or whoever I'm thinking of). At any rate, seems to be some confusion whether or not his minimum is $3.0 million (for a player with 9 years experience) or $3.3 million (10+ years, which he's entering next season)...surely this is laid out in the CBA somewhere.

Edit: to that end, this article explains that Wright should be $3.0 million if it's the minimum.

Wright is definitely an upgrade over Bev, IMO.

Replace Beas with Wright & bring back Bev.

Like I'm really not sure what we are expecting. We only really have the min and have six young guys expected to be on the roster next year. At that price range, you are only going to get some raw guy who may or may not contribute and we already have enough of those on the roster. Like sure, I would love us to sign a 25 year with potential that will also be projected to be a 6th man this season that will sign for the vet min...

Pat Bev was an emergency need at POA defender last season. I think this is a better fit for us this season.

Decent signing in theory, not sure about real time. Seems like a fine move with a minimum salary. If he can play D like Beasley shot it last year I’d say that’s best outcome.

It's like the Beasley signing but way less crappy.

Good signing IMO.

Doc did say more athletic doesn't necessarily mean younger. He literally said old and athletic is fine too.

A couple of years too late for my liking, but I've long been a fan of Delon. He will help us.

I would welcome him back too (antics and all) and double down on the harassing defensive guard vet archetype. If we can't keep up with other teams with the bigger wing defender types we might as well at least have a bunch of guys who are going to bring the juice on defense at other spots.

If we only look at who he is likely replacing (PBev) then our backup PG is now roughly four years younger.
