The Lakers have a much shorter window (1 year. 2 at most) with LeBoob and Davis. In Dallas he would have the opportunity to compete the next three years with a much younger Luka and Kyrie.

Nitpicking, but what I would prefer moving forward is for Luka to be involved with these free agent recruitment meetings the same way Lebron is on the phone with Klay.

Would like for Luka to also rest that knee instead of overplaying again in the summer where that sorry team of his has no chance.

If Klay wants to "stick it" to the Warriors for letting him go, jumping to another play-in team doesn't make a lot of sense. His flex will be "we beat ya'll for the 8th spot".

Not sure about that...DLo is an expiring, they can trade him during the season with picks for someone better...as for Green, not sure he's an upgrade over Moody

They had Moody last year, they still lost 55MPG of guard rotation, how much more can Moody give over his 17MPG? 10? Green is 6th/7th man, 25MPG guy, who can shoot, pass and defend, DLo is a shooter who has gone cold too many times...

The last time DLo played there he was good with Steph...Green has probably peaked,he is who he is

Just listened to Marks how Mavs can get Klay. They basically HAVE to move Green in a S&T but because they still have 16.1M TPE they can basically offer even 5M or more to Klay because they'll still be way below 178M mark. And GSW would also benefit from this because then they would also create a TPE for them to boost their roster.

What does Klay want more? Play close to home or take potentially more money and play for a real contender? To me, it makes no sense for GSW to lose Klay to LAL for nothing but they said they'll do whatever he wants.

Stephen A. also reporting that he's been told Klay is going to Mavs lol...

I really think GSW are allowing Klay to decide where he wants to play. They are not necessarily looking for the best trade package. All this waiting is because Klay has not made up his mind on where he wants to play. Hopefully Nico doesn’t wait too long. He’s shown he will pivot instead of waiting like he did with the Marshall signing. If Klay drags this out until this evening I hope Nico pivots again and they trade for someone else.

Last time DLo played with Steph they were tanking, and ended up with the worst record in the league...
0 chance anyone plays a backcourt of Steph/DLo, Steph/Green OTOH fit...

Harris was out of the Mavericks price range. They didn’t have $26 million to spend.

4 years is too long for me. But it depends on what the other side is offering. Maybe that's what it will take to get done.
