Agreed -- & at present, to one degree or another, I'm sure anyone Will didn't draft or otherwise acquire is on the block.

OTOH, we can't trade every vet for draft capital alone -- need to field a team! :)

Could we move some combination out of Bagley, Holmes, Shammet, Brogdon, Jones for Levine to produce a future 1st out of the Bulls?

I don't think Holmes can be moved till Jan now because he just signed a new deal. Even if that does work out and you toss in Johnny Davis to make it flush.

If lavine gets healthy on you, Poole returns to prepunch Poole and Kuz plays well that might be enough to sneak you into the play in and you don't want that.

Plus they only have that Portland really protected first in 2025 and can't trade anything else first wise till 2027 and they aren't gonna dump more than two picks on a dump.

I don't see lavine getting moved until the deadline. If at all. Maybe someone can talk themselves in to it if they get desperate. I mean if anyone should if should be the nets.

Is there any hope we'll trade Kuzma this offseason? If so, where?

I just can't stand any more watching his shot chucking non stop.

Realistically, I am afraid he is here to stay for a while...

That's an interesting idea, but Lavine is owed $46M in 2025-26 and $49M in 2026-27. That's an awful lot to pay for a first round pick.

It might make more sense in the context of a Kuzma trade. If Kuzma goes out (including the $19M and $17M he is owed in 2025-26 and 2026-27 respectively) in exchange for a FRP, and then we also get another pick for absorbing Lavine, then it might palatable.

So something like Kuzma + Bagley + Shamet for Lavine and two FRP's.

Question is: which FRPs? Unfortunately, CHI's 2025 1st is owned by SAS (and protected top-10 in 205, top-8 in 2026 and top-8 in 2027).

CHI also owns POR 2025 1st but is also protected for selections 1-14 in 2025, 1-14 in 2026, 1-14 in 2027 and 1-14 in 2028...

I suppose one of the picks could be that POR pick, but I'd want the other pick to at least have some potential of being a lottery pick.

I don't suppose CHI would give us the unprotected portion of the pick they owe to San Antonio? Or something like we get the pick if it falls in the 8-13 range in any of 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028, or if it conveys to San Antonio before that happens, we get their pick two years later.

Man I wish…particularly now that we have a bloated front court.

Are the Bucks a potential landing spot for Kuzma? It seems like they are the team that is getting left behind with the top teams of the East all getting better.

Best move might be to wait until people get injured during the season

A Poole/Lavine back court would be a sight to behold, for sure. Maybe we could keep Kuz and run those three guys out all year. It would be like a basketball science experiment, or some kind of avant guard, season-long film. A basketball Oppenheimer.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

The issue would be we would win a lot of stupid games because all three would sometimes be healthy and hitting shots.

Don’t worry, there’d be plenty of shots hit by the other team too
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Think Dawkins got peak value since it sounds like Gafford is coming off the bench.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

This front office is reportedly delusional about the value of Kuzma..

I don't view it as delusional. I view it as holding firm!
