Not the earlier reported less money and less than $30 million, but two years is a great timeline for the team.

It's about what I figured ... I kind of projected the Clippers going for a 3 year/$100 million deal with a team option in year 3. Instead, Harden took a 2 year with a player option after this year. It's a good signing for that contract length/price.

Seems like a balanced deal for both sides.
Not mad or disappointed at it, we'll see how the rest of the team shakes out.

Just read that PG is leaving. That sucks. What hasn’t changed is Kawhi and his health. That determines the ceiling but losing PG is a blow.

I Dont feel that way at all. especially after the sacrifices our other stars had. Sometimes you need the cut older, rotten trees so sunlight can reach to surface and seeds can grow.

Not in any important game, it's not. We will have to find a way to replace his 35-point games against the Pistons, Wizards and Hornets in January, though.

Re: Harden to re-sign for 2 years/$70 million
Historically, based on Kawhi's helath and need to be managed, Harden will have about 15 or so games where he's the lone star and first option, he will have to do some lifting there.
Hope he comes into the season in the best shape he's been since I think it was like 2016 or something with Houston when he actually took off-season training seriously.
In general, Harden tends to be a pretty lackadaisical guy about off-season preparation.

Looks like Harden setting up, so that he can be highly sought after at the trade deadline. $35M/yr isn't a terrible price. He has an option for next year, so if some contender thinks he is the final piece for them, then we can get a little back in return.
