Going full circle on Jabari would be classic Bucks, not exactly what I think we need as we stand rn but he’s a good guy & his scoring/finishing could come in handy especially if Bobby gets dealt & when Khris is hurt/load managed.

No idea what you can take from Jabari Parker. Last time we saw him with any kind of minutes was prepandemic when he was 24. He really lost his 3 ball those two last two years. Looks like he found it a bit playing big minutes his first year on a good euro league team. That's not nothing. Worth taking a flyer on but wouldn't really be excited to sign him

Umude on a 2 way is fine, you could see him potentially getting converted at some point. Think we've been doing a better job lately of getting guys who are closer to the NBA to fill those spots.

Feels like: this + AJ Enigmatic + Delon = moving on from TyTy

Man…this has been one of the most boring opening to Free Agency I think we’ve seen in years for the Bucks. Yawn!
Bucks fan since day one. Go Bucks!

I had that thought as well. As much as he ostensibly played well in the G-League, I don't see NBA physical tools. And there's not a point in bringing him to summer league only to be Johnson blocked. So we wish him well, like Pat Bev. That's our offseason mantra.

Bucks offseason moves:

1) decide on a coherent theory of the team
2) fill out the roster accordingly

Sounds like the Bucks were interested in Batum

BigO wrote:A couple odds and ends:

1) Brook's value is not on the rebounding end. When he was out for the entire 21-22 regular season, the Bucks were second in the league in rebounding. They were first last year and a respectable 8th this year. His value is as an elite drop defender. When he was out, the defense tanked. Due mainly to Bud continuing to play the drop without Brook. You could make the case there are more rebounds when he does his job well, but his value is before the shot is taken.

2) Not enamored with the Ham rehiring. Friends in LA told me he was out of his league on x's and o's. Good chemistry guy, but as the lead assistant (whatever that means), I don't want him drawing up plays.

3) I see no one on the Lakers I want in return that could be available for Brook.

4) This is a run it back roster. The key thing is keeping the top three healthy and the #1 priority is limiting Giannis's attacking the basket from the top of the key. His body is wearing out. Work on the low post game and passing out of the post.

5) I don't see who you can get for Bobby that is of equal value, except below.

6) I'd figure out how to get Suggs. He's about to break out. Bobby, a future first and whatever young Bucks they want.

I'd probably do that for Suggs. I'm with BigO. I think Suggs has real potential. Especially when he gets the courage to shave his head.

Come home, Jalen. Come home.

Also, I play basketball with his uncle.

Suggs already broke out. He literally just made an All-Defense team.

He's going to break out again.

Agree with press (and your implication) that he's not available for the likes of Bobby and sweeteners.

I'm not finding a lot of issues with Zach Lowe's breakdown, honestly.

Love Jabari and wish him well but he’s not an nba player. And Bobby is actually a good nba player. Should not be in the same convo in 2024

The something we need to do is have Dame be in shape and play better and have Giannis be healthy in the playoffs. There you go, I solved it.

Seriously though, our bets have already been made. I know it's not exciting but all we can really do now is tinker on the margins and wait to see if they pay out.

Yep, whether that's Bamba or Wiseman. Take a chance on a reclamation project like Brook was back in 2018.

I would sign Wiseman for the minimum for sure.

You were excited last July for Beasley and Rolo? 8-)

Lowe's not completely wrong, but at the same time, all these talking heads love to immediately pivot to the new shiny thing. Not really seeing how these moves put the Knicks and Sixers firmly ahead of us. All this talk about us having to pray that our stars are healthy come playoff time or we're screwed (duh), but guess who also got decimated by injuries and couldn't make it through two rounds of playoff basketball? Oh right, the Knicks. Guess who's literally never healthy come playoff time? Oh right, Embiid....
