That was a strange call, if anything that's a no whistle since she lunged forward.

I'm pretty sure that I never seen a 3 point shooter whistled for an offensive foul, except when kicking the legs out. I guess I would in the case of a push off, but players don't push off when shooting 3s (and obviously Clark did not, either).

I know that in the NBA, that play no longer draws a defensive foul because it's not considered a natural basketball motion. But I never saw anyone get called for an offensive

Exactly. If you think the motion was unnatural, then let the shot miss and play on. Although in truth, that's a foul in the NBA. If it's not, Trae Young and Jimmy Butler would never be at the FT line.

They stopped calling that in the NBA. If you pump fake someone up you've gotta make an actual shot attempt and not jump into someone.

But I've never seen someone get called for an offensive foul for doing so. That's a play on.

Fagbenle is really important for the Fever. She's the athlete they need to match up against athletic #4s like Reese. She's also the team's best floor runner. The fast break is on when she plays.

How do New York fans feels about Sloot?

I have a ton of respect and love for Slooty but I liked it better when we had Thornton at SF and Lainey-Hamilton at SG. Our D was nicer

And better spot up shooting, and therefore better spacing. Sloot is shooting 26% from three and Thornton is shooting 42%. Sloot does give them another playmaker off the dribble, but I feel like they have enough of that with Sabrina, Stewie, and Betnijah. The spacing helps the offense more than the playmaking, and Sloot is a reluctant shooter inside the arc as well, which further hurts their spacing.

And the defense is definitely better, with more length and size and fewer weak links. I would like the rotation much better with as few Sabrina/Sloot minutes as possible, which means bringing Sloot off the bench.

Yeah I agree.

Jones/Stewart/Thornton/Lainey-Hamilton/Ionescu is honestly a perfect starting 5 for this team. I know it sucks to ask Sloot to come off the bench but if we wanna win a championship we need to maximize our roster. That line up is basically elite two ways and if someone else needs to handle the ball in a pinch, give it to Stewie.
