Why do you say these things with such certainty? Do you have a source that we're paying our backup C $14m next year? :banghead:

EDIT: Sorry, I didnt' see where you quoted "Everybody in the NBA"
The room exception kicks in once we hit the cap of 141 and it's like 8 million maybe 600,000 or something like that. And he was only getting 8 million before. So it'd be like $600,000 raise.

You know what...he did say 6k...my bad on that part Rob.

There's certainly a strong assumption that they have a deal agreed to, but the terms are not known to us. If DET offers him $15m while he's in limbo, he'll take it and everyone will congratulate him.
Detroit already knows we're resigning him. All teams know it.

Mo better stay, one of our most underrated players still.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

The Magic can only offer 13M and cannot match a 15M offer. 2M a year is a lot of coin to leave on the table. I think M-Wagner might walk if it is a choice between three years and 39M and three years and 45M.

Perhaps the Magic offering a year-4 is the resolution in this.

Do not forget that Orlando is in a tax-free state.

My $15m "example" was just to point that, while he's floating out there a team COULD make a stupid offer and, if so, Mo should take it and run....nobody's paying him $15 and we wouldn't match.

We aren't competing with any other teams to sign Moe.
