Monte Morris or Kyle Lowry for you guys?

It's close but I am afraid about Monte's injury, he hasn't been the same player for the last 1+ year.

Lowry has been relatively healthy and he has never played less than 28 mpg.

Gambo said that we are looking for a PG who can give us around 20 mpg and can start occasionally for us...that can be Lowry even at 38.

I trust him as a leader specially on defense and in the locker room. We missed a leader last year and he can fill that hole better than Monte Morris.

BTW...Kyle Lowry's agent is Mark Bartelstein.

Give me Fultz over those two corpses! I would take a chance on Fultz and put him around these veterans that can make the best of him!

I’m sorry I’m not buying the front office better fit because he can pass nonsense. It’s just them trying to sell Nurkic and now old man plumlee to the fan base.

Point is Bamba would have been a better fit for this team than Nurkic and Plums. Bamba can hit 3s and has an inside presence ability to swat shoots.

Man I am not a Nurkic fan but he is better than Bamba lol

Fultz is extremely injury prone (played 8, 18, 60, 43 games in the last 4 seasons) and is a complete non-shooter. Lowry and Morris are better signings any day.

Lowry will be 39 by the time the playoffs start. I think I'd roll the dice on Morris. Last year was a blip for him because of his injury, but before that he was pretty durable. He's also 29, so unless it's some recurring long-term thing, I would hope that a good offseason and a stable role will have him back to his best. I would also think he would be really motivated to have a good season so he can command one last good contract next summer.

Fultz can’t shot worth a ****. This team doesn’t need more non-shooters.

If they could convince them I’d try to sign both lol.

Nico Harrison, GM for the Mavs, is what a smart GM looks like.

Klay might be a nice add, but I think each of the 3 outgoing players are better than the other 2 they got. Don't think Dallas will be repeating in the Western Conference.

Marshall is as good a defender as DJJ but a significantly better shooter. Grimes isn’t as good a defender as Josh Green but still a better scorer.

And Klay over THJ is heavily in Klay’s favor.

Those guys all suck

It was a sign n trade though to get Klay the money he wanted, and there were other suitors for him, So theoretically, the Warriors could have accepted other (potentially richer offers) or let those teams bid against each other a bit more and still done the sign n trade to get Klay his money.

Ironically, Here's the updated full updated asset return for the Warriors which looks more equitable:

Overall, I'm glad to see the Warrior's run is finally coming to an end, the initial report still looked a bit light to me for Thompson, even with his potential decline, injuries, etc. OR it might be just that I hate the idea of the Mavs potentially getting deeper on the cheap. But post-update, it looks more amenable in terms of value exchange.

Klay has ultimate control though. Warriors had 3 options, resign him (they don't want to), let him walk for nothing or S&T him and get something back. They don't get to choose who he goes to and at most, they can veto a trade there but that'll just piss Klay off even more than he's already pissed off and they get nothing.

At the end of the day, they did right by a Warriors legend and despite the way things ended, I think Klay appreciated the Warriors for facilitating a trade to the team he wanted to go to

Good points man!
Amazing the total.package that they ended up getting back for him under those specific circumstances. That 2031 1st and the 25' pick could both be premium assets possibly too.

This makes me think there may have been some truth to the Sungun and picks for KD trade rumor.

God I wish Ishbia would dump James Jones and hire a better GM/advisor like Bob Myers to make decisions like these.

James Jones still thinks the Suns are gonna “unlock” KD’s potential at age 37 lmfao

I am not sure Bob Myers is the answer - look at GSW - but I do think he would be better than James Jones

Bill Simmons had a rumor when Ishbia was named the buyer, that his target was Sam Presti. If only Simmons were correct

If this season goes awry - the trade deadline will be interesting. Personally, if the Rockets deal is on the table today - I would still take it - well depending. But if there is a potential deal - I would listen

I'm guessing Cam Payne's name has at least come back up in meetings. What is Dinwiddie gonna get and where?

I don't think the 2031 is a FRP - I think it is Dallas second round pick

Probably would still take old man Lowry over Cam Payne

At this point -- forget about Okogie and Lee

Morris + Payne
Lowry + Payne
Lowry + Morris

The Suns already have in players like Ruddy and Little, non scorers - Okogie would be there with Dunn. He is expendable.

Too bad they cannot offer him the 175% of his value last year and do a sign and trade off of that

Perhaps they are hoping KD becomes available mid-season. At this point, so do I

2 more years with only this season being guaranteed. He's making around the vet min though, so it doesn't hurt us. I'm sure we'll see how he looks in camp and if needed, cut him after the season.
Maybe we cut him prior if we find another player we like and need his spot

I think the Suns have three roster spots

"Okogie"
"Lee"
Point Guard

I think signign PG is fine - the others can wait

Return to Phoenix Suns
