We all have good games.
This show is a complete joke.

I once scored on the top ranked player in a scrimmage.

Koloko was pretty impactful defensively during that season with us. He had good instincts, and good athleticism. He would have at minimum been a solid 18 minute a game backup C who was great defensively. His offensive development would have informed his ceiling.

Really was just terrible luck.

really a shame, he'd slot into our current roster perfectly as a backup to Poeltl, giving us 48 minutes of good defense at the center position.

Koloko was raw for a four year player. I could see Chomche being similarly productive, maybe mid way through his first year. I don't see a whole lot of difference between their offense, but the defense is slightly less polished.

These dudes are the absolute worst to even try to listen to. Half the time they’re not even getting to the point or just yelling over each other. You can’t take a single thing they say serious especially not McCants.

The credibility of that show aside, I was really looking forward to seeing Koloko's development in last year's summer league. One of the young guys I thought would take a decent leap and was interested in seeing it in summer league. Then that devastating news of his injury, which was eventually revealed to be a blood clot issue...

It's really too bad.

I thought Koloko was a junior when drafted.

please don't listen to the Gilbert Arenas podcast.

Malachi Flynn scored 50 points. Jayson Tatum's season high was only 45. Flynn>Tatum amirite???

You're right, my mistake. Either way he's one of the rawest Juniors you can find.

I don’t know man. He was good defensively and just seemed a step slow on offence (as many rookies do).
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Oh I can hardly stand listening to the full pod, but I caught this snippet and decided to share, just to reminisce.

The points they try to make/defend on that pod are just mind numbingly dumb sometimes. And they just constantly yell over each other and repeat stuff over and over like a bunch of children. Painful.

I really liked Koloko as a rookie TBH.

He was a fluid athlete, who blocked everything in sight, and he was mobile for a guy who measured in at 6-11 with a 7-5 wingspan. His toolkit was pretty good. He was already a good defender his rookie season.

Yep, only thing he really lacked that he needed significant improvement on was strength. But otherwise, I thought he could at least become a good role player or even a solid starter down the line.

The offense seemed extremely weak, he kinda had stone hands and couldn't finish. The defense was impactful but it was more about his wingspan and stature than skillful positioning. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the same from Chomche after 1 season.

One of the hilarious narratives they try and forward is how they are so much smarter than NBA front offices and then they proceed to talk about dudes like Emoni Bates

I watch them dudes for comedy

Koloko showed better 3 point shot. He was lights out in draft combine, which is one big reason the board (including myself) is high on him.

Koloko was a lights out shooter at the combine? No way.
