How much are we worried about BIID, MAXEY & PG if they stay healthy - especially W/O Zinger until 1/2025

There might not even be an NBA playoffs in 2025 if World War 3 breaks out.

Last time there was a world war professional basketball carried on as normal. The Pistons won the 1944 championship.

I'd like to see how their roster pans out first. seems like a lot of movement with players coming in and out. Their big three healthy is also a big if.

By trade deadline and KP back we'll have better understanding. That deadline may be a real chess match of contenders trying to get a few available difference makers.

I'd feel comfortable picking us to beat them in a series. Same for NY. But both good teams capable of knocking us off.

IDK how to quantify how much concern that is.

2 losers linking up doesn’t equal a winner. Maxey is awesome, but he will be heavily targeted by the Celtics on defense.

0.

If Embiid is ever healthy they can win the title without anyone else. He's never gonna be healthy and in shape.

There issues isn't lack of a third star. The issue is health, production, intensity and physical fitness of their No. 1.

How did the Druant-Booker-Beal Big 3 go last season? They were picked by some as title favorites, until the season played out.

Embiid - PG13 - Maxey is a better Big 3 especially defensively and have better synergy, at least on paper. They won't be an easy out until Embiid injures himself trying to hurt other people as he usually does.

To be fair, the Sixers really improved by replacing Toby with PG13.

It’s crazy to me how after all these years people still believe in Paul George, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Westbrook and that entire generation of frauds. These guys hop team to team, buddy to buddy and win absolutely nothing.

It's a great start to a roster. Like really great on paper. But 2 of the 3 are injury prone and that's putting it nicely. They also don't have a complete roster and not sure there's money and/or available players to give them a complete one. Guys who need time off and lack of depth is a dangerous combo. At best it's a TBD for me on them as contenders. I could see it, but if it doesn't work we already know why as well.

On paper the Sixers and Knicks look formidable. Let's see how it pans out in real life.

Kyrie has been to three finals and won a championship. Harden, PG13, and Westbrook have all seen sustained success. Other than Westbrook whose game has simply cratered due to lack of shooting, they are all elite players still. PG13 at age 34 would be the 2nd best player on the Celtics if he joined us.

Not at all.

Swapping Harris for George does nothing to move the needle against the Celtics, likewise, counting on Embiid and PG to acutally stay healthy is pretty much laughable at this point.

I'd be more worried about a healthy Indiana team than anyone else in the East.

I'm almost certain PG is gonna mail it in, dude said as much in a podcast a couple of weeks ago - it isn't necessarily even about winning and he doesn't like doing the dirty work on the court, it made him uncomfortable in LAC after the Harden trade.

Their other starters currently project to be Gordon and Oubre, those guys are not moving the needle in any direction.

They need more, so much more. Their backup big is a Shaqtin HOFer.

As long as Embiid calls Al Horford daddy, the Celtics will always win
