We made it to the finals with Lowry. As a matter of fact I would say Lowry was a lot more important to our first seed and finals run then Herro was.
I'm not talking about the impact he had the first couple of years just the length of the contract. Derozan on anything more than a 1+1 isn't interesting.
2+1 with the 1 being a team option gives Miami the option to use him as an expiring contract in his 2nd season.

Who’s jovic favorite player? He doesn’t seem to have any signature moves. Most of his moves are very minimal if that makes sense?
Not sure, but he's only 21 and still raw offensively, so it makes sense that he doesn't have any signature moves. Heck, there are many stars in the NBA that do not have any sort of signature moves offensively, i.e. Jayson Tatum.
Jovic resembles a 6'11" Goran Dragic, imo (of course, he still has a long ways to go offensively before he becomes anywhere near as good as Dragic).

Honestly Herro should be worth what we got Rozier for which was an expiring and protected first round pick.

What are you basing this Ainge really likes Herro on?

I feel like the Ainge connections are based off a draft that happened years ago. I also see the Jazz getting ready to tank for Flagg now that they're trying to offload Lauri.
First, I said supposedly.
Second, what better way to tank than to give Herro the keys to your franchise?

This will never ever EVER happen. He will go to the Lakers, they have Dlos expiring and 3 1st to send out the Bulls will not gift an in conference rival arguably their best player whether he’s a free agent or not. END OF DISCUSSION

Jazz have a guard glut. I don’t see them taking on that contract when they already have Clarkson they need to move.

This fan base would trade Herro and a first to acquire someone off of this forum if they could. I just ignore it at this point. It's one thing to trade him for something sensible. Remember when everyone wanted Duncan traded for those slumps?
There is good reason for that. He makes far too much money, won't come off the bench, and is injured far too much. I loved the guy, truly, but he continually let's me down. Enough is enough. He's crippling us as the third guy.
Now knowing Pat Riley and Spo who we've both seen ship players out for not aligning with their vision I beg you to ask yourself this...do you think Herro starting is his choice or their choice. Look around the league. Herro's price point is pretty much the going rate these days. Do you think Cade was worth his contract? No but it's the price of business. That center OKC signed just went for 29m a year.

Need to get out from Herros contract at some point as he’s on the books for 33mil in 2026 for the next transition. Even if it’s a lateral move and we don’t net an asset from it. I’d take Derozan for the next two seasons.
Rozier
Derozan
Butler
Niko
Bam
Jamie
Duncan
Ware
I can get behind this group for the next two years, not a painful Segway into a reset

Right, if his salary is the price tag these days, he should be relatively easy to move.
I know who sets the starting lineup. That's not the point. A real team player is willing to do what's in the best interests of the team. We were much better with him coming off the bench. And now, with our only point guard having a similar skill set? We need him to come off the bench more than ever, but he hasn't relented, has he?
Ask yourself this; would a real Heat player choose himself over the team?

I agree, it wont.
But to be clear people need to stop complaining about a long term derozan deal. He doesn't want it any more than yall do. He was making 30M. He's v good. No one has that kind of cap and no one is going to trade with the Bulls thinking they're being cute. They'll only help if they feel like they're getting something out of it.
Maybe lakers pay up cuz lebron forces them to.
But for us, we would need to send Duncan to Detroit, take back a pick. Use MLE 12.4 on derozan, one year deal. Sign haywood to like 3-15 with a PO.
Just a random scenario but that's how the money would work. There are no plausible long term derozan deals that he'd take unless big moves happened

Your scenario made sense though lol. They would definitely want an expiring in a S&T scenario. Same way we used Dragic.
