Rockets/Pacers
Indy out: Bennedict Mathurin
Houston out: Amen Thompson
Why for Indy: Adds a needed lengthy SF who can play defense.
Why for Houston: adds shooting and an explosive scorer to the backcourt, better balances the roster with the Rockets currently having A logjam at SF with Brooks, Eason, Whitmore and Griffin still at the position.
What needs to be added to make this work?

Isn't Mathurin redundant with Jalen Green?

Griffin is a 2
Brooks is a 2/3
They also have Green and Sheppard at the 2
I'd say theres more of a logjam at SG

Better shooter and more efficient scorer than Green. It doesn't hurt to have two good SG's, I see it as a better balance than having around 5 good SF's

Houston is unlikely to move any of its core 7 unless consolodating for a true star.
If anyone is available, probably Green.

Mathurin isn't untouchable but I don't see us making a one for one trade.

Re: Rockets/Pacers
Eason is the guy that would be perfect for Indy. But, it would take a lot to pry away the Houston prospects.
Maybe mathurin and jwalker for Eason and either Tate/landale. But, I doubt Indy would offer that option.

Well, of course they wouldn’t. That’s attempted robbery

Sorry, but reading "core 7" made me laugh.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Brooks is available, Green for the right price, no touchy other young guys unless it is an established star under 30.

If you have a core 7, I'd imagine your team is pretty damn good.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Well, I mean, we don't know yet. Three years, 7 top 20 picks. What should we be referring them as?
#2 Jalen Green
#16 Alperen Sengun
#3 Jabari Smith Jr.
#17 Tari Eason
#4 Amen Thompson
#20 Cam Whitmore
#3 Reed Sheppard

Mathurin alone is worth more the Eason.
