I have been vocal on here that I don't love Brown. At a certain point you have to be realistic with other options drying up, and try to connect the dots. We've been linked to him in the past, GSW has been linked to Portis, Toronto has been linked to Wiggins, etc. If you only do that first deal, you are relying on Delon Wright or one of the AJ's to be your starting 2.

I'm not gonna fault Horst for this off-season because I agree with the draft strategy and I'm assuming the offers for Brook and Bobby just weren't very good.

If we're running it back, I don't want to sign and play vet minimum guys though. All 6 of the young(ish) players should be given a legitimate look. I have no interest in playing Pat Connaughton and whatever new version of Jae Crowder like player we sign. Thats done now.

DFS is still a damn good switchable 3&D wing. I wouldn't let his numbers in Brooklyn fool you into thinking he wouldn't instantly look better on a contender. If you can swing that Pat/Bobby trade, then that opens up the TPMLE ($5.1 million). something like:

Dame/Wright
Gary Trent (TPMLE)/Green/AJJ/Johnson
Middleton/Marjon
Giannis/DFS/Smith/Livingston
Brook/Theis (vet minimum)

Lot of different switchable lineup combos there and you still have Brook to match up vs. bigger teams. I think that might be my preferable outcome at this point.

I'm down for this one. DFS would help alot

Giving up Portis leaves a big scoring and rebounding hole. It's worth it if you can get a legit three and D two guard, which Brown isn't. Horst would never give Portis away for ten cents on a dollar.

I like Bobby too, but you don't lose rebounding when you replace him with Eason. I do agree that we need to find better than Brown when we move him. Brown isn't better than Wright

Listen, a lot of the trades I post are simply trying to make sense of rumors/reporting and trying to connect the dots. Some of them I would do, some of them I likely wouldn't. Brown has some fans here and has been linked to the Bucks, so thought it was worth posting.
