Amazing the total.package that they ended up getting back for him under those specific circumstances. That 2031 1st and the 25' pick could both be premium assets possibly too.

I don't think the 2031 is a FRP - I think it is Dallas second-round pick

Aren't they both 2nds?

Yep! Fishi is right!
https://www.nba.com/news/klay-thompson-2024-free-agency
all they ended up getting was two 2nds for Klay. I wish they would've been more clear with listing the full details of the trade completely in the initial tweet. Like this report did. But I understand that they're trying to get information out quickly, and sometimes the full framework details get shared later. :dontknow:

On another note…. These big chunky contracts going to wreck college bball….. on top of the NIL money? Its pretty much done in my eyes. Might be a boom for the GLeague tho. Wouldnt mind it if they went to 4-5 rounds of drafting. Back in the day they had 7

Imagine what the draft threads and scouting reports might look like then though man! I might be putting out so much overly detailed material, but still end up pushing that thread to almost 100 pages! It'll become utter madness!!!!

Book | Morris
Beal
Allen | O'Neale | Little | Roddy
Durant | Bol | Dunn
Nurkic | Plumlee | Ighodaro

Two-way: Gillespie, Bridges

Right now we have 2 roster spots open + one two-way spot.

Allen will be the primary backup 2, but we could definitely use another shooter. Wouldn't be mad if it was Damion Lee if he's recovered.

After that I guess just best player available? Don't really see another glaring weakness. Would be great if one of Little or Roddy became a reliable player instead of being glued to the bench.

Nope. For a developing team sure, have a 10 man rotation of young players lol.

Look at Celtics, Nuggets, Wolves, Mavs.

8 man rotation at best. Celtics have 7 players who got a lot of minutes during the Finals.

Suns need 8 players who will be legit contributors both ends during regular season and then 6 or 7 in the playoffs if they make it.

If Dunn magically develops a shot by end of season

PG: Book / Monte
SG: Allen / Beal / Okogie
SF: Dunn / Oneal
PF: KD / Bol
C: Nurk / Plum / Oso

This is probably the most talented suns roster we have ever had. Just need Bud to make it work.. really hope Beal takes a ginobli 6th man role, mostly to reduce minutes ad stay healthier throughout the season.

Not sure if serious? You do realize 92-93 the suns had 6 players that played in an All-Star game at one point in their career.

Plus most of us don’t see this as a “good roster” outside the big 3. But hey too each their own.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

I was reading that 70% of 2nd round picks get at least a one year guaranteed contract

He still has some left in the tank but I think he's pretty happy in Miami. I believe he's signing or will be signing a new 2 yr deal there
