Wil they trade Buddy first, then waive the players who’s capholds are retrictive?

The last report is that one of the reasons they didn't got PG was because they didn't want to include Kuminga on the trade.
If that's true there is no way they're sending Kuminga for Reed.

The trade for Buddy would definitely be 1st on their list. But if they are taking anything at all back, which I imagine they have to be because GSW doesn't have any cap room... it would have to be someone pretty cheap and then a big salary to a third team that still has cap space?
Wouldn't mind having Moses Moody in the guard rotation. He only makes 5.8M. They can probably add him without incident. Then the question becomes who is taking Wiggins. Because I have to imagine he's the big contract they want to unload.

Sixers should have zero interest in Looney or GP2. Definitely should be interested in Moody. Or if Golden State would rather send over Podziemski, that'll work too.

If it is Gui,then he makes 1.8 which is the caphold for a roster spot, so it would break even. And if GS absorbs him into a traded player exception, wouldn’t they be able to do the deal straight up? Although, Hollinger mentioned a five team mega deal.

Yep, GSW has a 15M exception from trading Klay to Dallas they can use for Hield. And Gui Santos (whoever that is) is basically the same cost as a cap hold, so that would work. Morey should absolutely ask for a pick to even be bothered to do this, however.
What did Hollinger say about a mega deal?

They used 9 mil of that for Kyle Anderson.

Well they will have to tie this in with their S&T of Klay to Dallas, then.
76ciology wrote:“If the Golden State Warriors send Gui Santos to Philadelphia and sign second-round pick Quinten Post to a rookie minimum deal, that leaves them about $14 million under the tax apron for Buddy Hield. But the only way I can see to import him at that salary is to incorporate Hield and Kyle Anderson into the same sign-and-trade that sent Klay Thompson outbound, turning it into a five-team mega trade between Charlotte, Dallas, Minnesota, Golden State and Philadelphia. Why Santos? Philadelphia acquiring him into cap space would mean the Sixers could aggregate him into a trade immediately. That, perhaps, would allow them to combine his salary and Paul Reed’s to acquire a player not attainable with Reed's salary alone, such as Cleveland's Caris LeVert or Sacramento's Kevin Huerter.”
