Not worried about drafting Bronny at all... the rest of the west has been blowing up their roster. I'm not even mad but I do want to see Laurie or Lopez

Twitter is breathing fire at Rob. Especially because of the LeBron paycut thing.

The Lakers have to make a series of moves.

Christie is a great deal. Fantastic. Lauri and Lopez next. Then send Papa Elf and Jr to Cleveland
Since the 1976 merger LAL 11, CHI 6, BOS 6, SAS 5, GSW 4

PG: Luka / Vincent / Bronny
SG: Smart / Reaves / Knecht / Mañon
SF: LaRavia / Rui / Thiero
PF: Bron / Vando / Kleber
C: Ayton / Hayes / Koloko

Since no trade thread ... Just posting this here

Utah Out: Lauri M
Utah In: Vando, JHS, 2026 pic 2028 pic <> 2 pics

Utah get Defense In Vando some young 'miss used by Lakers' talent In JHS. + 2 future pics ... I mean I Lakers keep JHS I hope he gets used more, but with Max expecting big minuts etc just don't see how JHS gonna get minutes and his still only 21.

Lakers Out: Vando, JHS + 2 future Pics ...
Lakers In: Lauri M...

Why for Lakers = We all know why.

Before anyone mentions this trade works on SPOTRAC - Too much OR Too little for Lauri?

Trade with DLo, Rui, Vincent, Reddish, Wood and/or Hayes with picks

Offseason possible trades targets I want to happen

Center (Any one of them)
Brook Lopez
Nick Richards
Wendell Carter
Jarret Allen
Claxton

Forwards: (Any one of them or, if possible, 2 of them)
Johnathan Issac
Larui Markkanen
Cam Johnson
Miles Bridges (free agent)
Jerimi Grant
Kyle Kuzma

Then, fill with Vet Mins for 14 / 15 man roster
Guards
DVD
Kyle Lowry
Markelle Fultz
Loonie Walker
Tyrus Jones
Dennis Smitth

Forwards
Prince
Gordan Hayward
Stanley Johnson
Danuel House
Joe Ingles
Covington

Center
Castleton

I don't want to trade Vando away seeing him starting to play better on offense last year before his 2 injuries. If you can get Lauri, I wouldn't mind a trade of Reaves (with reluctance)

I would love to trade Gabe to miami, where he has success for a s&t for Caleb Martin.... if not that for buddy hield, as they could use a pg

secondly.... I agree that a package of hood, vando, wood and Hayes our future picks for Lauri is necessary and would love to get Kessler in that mix

lastly, if we miss on lauri... we could have a good mix for trades for the following players... if not we use MLE on them. I would love to see us sign miles bridges for part of MLE around 8 mil, and Gary Trent for remaining 5... on increasing multi year deals.... tyus would be my third option.... Claxton for Full MLE would be great too. Those 4 need to be heavily targeted!!!

I want Kevin love here and Lowry. After Lowry trade Rui for derozan. DeRozan would be more inclined since they are best buds.

Maybe a trade is already lined up so that LBJ can get a max deal?

Yah I wouldn't mind moving salary and some assets for Kuz at this point, but knowing Rob he'll discover a third apron.

Kuz would be a good addition but with Knecht, I wonder if it’s not better to find role players that can be 3&D or a backup center that can handle bigger centers.

Trade #1:
- Dump Wood into any team with 3m of space (may have to attach a 2nd)
This move is critical. This gets the Lakers under the second apron, which allows them to make trades involving multiple players. Right now. they can only trade players one at a time until they dump at least 2m, so they must dump Wood. There should be a taker, but a team might be a jerk and make them wait. Does Pelinka have any friends he can call? If he does, he needs to call them, pronto!

Trade #2:
- Trade Vincent, Hayes, and a first round pick to POR for Robert Williams III.
After the Lakers get under the second apron, they can now get busy making real trades that count. The Christian Wood trade gets them 1 million under the apron. This trade saves them 1 million additional dollars, so they would now be 2 million under the second apron. As far as the pick protections, make it as sweet as POR needs it to be to get the deal done. The Lakers need Williams badly. Is it a risk with his glass body, yes, but it's a risk they need to take.

Trade #3:
- Trade Hachimura, Vanderbilt, and Reaves to CHI for Zach LaVine and a first round pick.
Now two million under the second apron, the Lakers can do a deal where they take back 1.8 million more than what they send out to still stay under the second apron. The move is crazy risky, but could definitely payoff. LaVine, if healthy, provides them with much of what they need, even though his salary is astronomical.

Trade #4:
- Trade Russell, Reddish, and a first round pick to BRK for Cam Johnson.
Still under the second apron, the Lakers can make their final move that will ultimately send them back over the second apron by 2.5 million for the remainder of the season. Haggle over the pick protections but get the deal done.

Their left with only ten players:
PG - James - Schifino
SG - Christie - James
C -- Davis - Williams
PF - Johnson - Knecht
SF - LaVine - Lewis

I sign four old, veteran guys to mentor that second unit and provide depth and toughness. Of note, I'd sign two more big body bigmen because Williams will almost surely get hurt, so they need to make allowances for that:

PG/PF - James Johnson (37) - Yes, he's my third string PG (and PF).
SG/SF - Wesley Matthews (38) - On the team to really push Baby James and Lewis and Knecht.
C's ------ Dwight Howard (38) and Biyombo (32) - Two defensive bigs for Jokic and when Williams goes down again.

These minimum signings send the Lakers almost 15 million into the second apron.

There would be zero more moves for the rest of the year. Frankly, I like it. The starting lineup with Williams coming off the bench is solid, and I'd tune in just to see the three young guys get oodles of minutes (Knecht, Lewis, and Schifino). Baby James will get defensive spot minutes here and there, out of the main rotation, but he'll be the tenth man unless 38 year old Wesley Matthews beats him out.

Signing the four old guys is very important, because you set up a situation for the young guys to succeed but for it not to be handed to them. James Johnson could beat out Schifino for backup PG minutes and Matthews could snatch up Knecht and/or Lewis' minutes as well. Everyone'll be pushed.

You're welcome.
