Yooo, the WT saying he agreed with the Grizzles got me.

I came to this board to see what you all were saying only to be surprised that everyone was saying welcome back! What a pleasant surprise given what's left on the free agency market!

Unless Queta's deal is also fully guaranteed, that's apples and oranges.

At least 1 (and more likely 2+) of Kornet, Queta and Tillman will get a lot of opportunity while Porzingis is out.

Best positioned to cash in is Kornet, as he's only locked up on a 1 year deal.

Tillman was really good against Luka a few times in the Finals. Glad to have him back

So we're Brissett away from bringing everyone back. Well at least the rotation pieces

I'm glad Tillman getting another chance with the Cs. Looking forward to seeing him play at 100%. His steal rates at Memphis were elite.

Al is old, so he won't play on B2B, more time for the backups
Maybe also cut his minutes and let the others play more

Indeed. That's part of the "a lot of opportunity".

And double-big lineups, if any, just lift the count of available minutes even higher.

If this guy can add the corner 3 to his repertoire we've got our old man Al Horford replacement.

He can knock 'em down in practice and warm-ups, obviously whole different kettle of fish when it's in the flow of an actual game, but doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility for X. His defense is great, he's solid passer operating out of the elbow, just needs to add some sort of offensive punch and he's a massive steal on the minimum (even without that he's still a steal in my eyes).

Friendly reminder that X is in the 97th percentile of defensive EPM.

Joe has a full offseason to study Tillman's game and see where he can help beyond his defense.

I still can't believe Cs were able to sign him for two years at the minimum.

He's a guy who was traded away by a team with no centers for two 2nd rounders a decade away, I don't think players like that get MLE-type money. He may play a useful role for us but his value around the league can't have been very high.

Good for us. The rest of the league missing out. Isaiah Hartenstein was a minimum/sub-minimum player for four teams until he wasn’t.

Given Al's age and Porzi's health, it says a lot that they're betting on Tillman and Queta (yes, with Kornet) to hold down the center behind them. Their play and further development should be fun to watch this year.

I expect him to take no less than 500 corner 3s every day from today until training camp
