We could really use Gordon Hayward. Promise him the starting SF spot if he takes vet min.

Another decent SF option is Cedi Osman. Can't imagine he'll break the bank.

Would love to get either Gary Trent or Lonnie Walker to start at SG. Walker especially looks like he's ready to breakout based on the stats. Don't know anything about their D though and Nurse won't play guys who don't play D.

Some interesting bits from the Lebron signing.

It's a 1+1 player option.

Lebron required a no trade clause, first time in his career.

Lakers, got a taste of how it feels to be a regular nba team FO, they focused on Klay who spurned them and by time he did both Harden and Valancunias were off the market.

DDR would not take the non-tax payer mid level exception.

Over/under 150 games played for Hayward, Embiid, and George combined?

Yeah, we already are gonna have health concerns with Embiid and George, adding Hayward to the mix is asking for trouble.

I don’t really see how DFS is a substantial improvement over Paul Reed

They both provide some of the same characteristics and while DFS has a longer history/volume of shooting 3s, I thought BBall Paul shot a decent percentage on his looks last year

C'mon now. DFS has made more three-pointers in each of the last 6 years than Reed has attempted in his entire career.

Also I giant difference in who they can guard. Paul Reed can’t play defense with Embiid on the floor. People need to get that idea out of their heads, not going to happen. Seems like a fun guy, but the idea of Paul Reed is much better than the on court product. He won’t be on the team next year.

Jake Fischer said looks like this is just going to be Warriors taking him into a trade exception and Sixers getting a 2nd rounder.

That makes sense, hoping it creates a good sized trade exception for us after the trade. That plus a second rounder to do a solid for Buddy and be seen that way around the league never hurts. Would love to get two seconds, but rather not take back any unnecessary salary from GSW along the way.

This is my modest opinion, I am clear about it. NO.
Since his very serious injury he is fat and slow. Right now he is a 5.

This is the first time I’ve thought about Buddy all summer. If we get literally anything useful back for him, I’m good with it.

The TPE is 14 million, they can add Anderson and Hield to the TPE. So Hollinger says the idea is to add the Hield move to the Klay transaction and make it a giant 5 team transaction.

Just speculation for now tho

Anderson is 9 million. So they’re signing Buddy to 3/15 mil? That’s rather cheap lol

He would be a super-nice addition ...just to remind the Celtics the taste of a loss.

I'd take Fultz back on a minimum all day. Marcus Morris is another depth piece that shouldn't cost more than a vet minimum.

They won't use a TPE. They'll aggregate the Hield deal together with the Klay deal so basically it's Klay for Anderson + Hield.

I just hope we get a couple juicy picks out of it for our trouble.

Would we obtain a TPE for that if it’s just for draft picks?

I get the worries for not crossing the second apron, but the first?
Almost every contending team is floating between the two aprons and I think we are destined to cross the first one anyway.

Am I wrong?
