They’ll probably be very good, so will a lot of East teams, if healthy.
Oh, not worried. I was never too worried before we won a chip. Always more worried about Cs players stepping up than anything on the outside.

I'm equally worried with them as I am with the Knicks.
Both teams are pretty bad matchups with the Celtics.
Rather face the Knicks than a functioning Embiid/PG/Maxey team I think though.
PG apparently is one of the very best catch and shoot 3 point shooters over the past 5 years in the league, as is Maxey. And Embiid is Embiid. That's a really tough core. I'd rather take my chances against NY.

Kyrie has been to three finals and won a championship. Harden, PG13, and Westbrook have all seen sustained success. Other than Westbrook whose game has simply cratered due to lack of shooting, they are all elite players still. PG13 at age 34 would be the 2nd best player on the Celtics if he joined us.
Let make it bold so it stands out to you well.
Kyrie has won though he had the good fortune of playing with a top 3 candidate of all time. The other guys hop around, mix and match and win **** all.

Yeah bold it. WIN NOTHING EXCEPT WHEN THEY WIN IT DOESN'T COUNT. Wow, a buncha losers.

Was a little alarmed to hear Philly has future Clipper draft picks - but PG won't impact either team by 2028-29. Clips might be bad but may have Ballmer may spend to keep them out of the cellar. At least they have sharp new uniforms.

The Sixers and Knicks have made major improvements.
The Knicks were without Randle and Anunoby in the playoffs and they were still playing really well. Now you add Randle, Anunoby and M. Bridges to that team, they become scary good.
Sixers with the additions of Paul George and E. Gordon.
These two teams have become a legit title contender. Mavs improved with the addition of Klay. I still think Boston is better, but only with a healthy KP. And right now, KP is a concern.
I do want to add that having KP out for the first 3 months of the season might be a good thing if only only if Joe gives Queta playing time. Queta is better than people think. Also, Baylor Scheierman could become a key role player off the bench.

Thanks to a hoard of people for their input.
I should have posed it as a poll.
Looks like 2 primary themes:
1. No **** way we should be worried. Biid will fizz out again & PG is getting older. Celtics are just too good. MAJORITY.
2. Gotta see how it plays out in real life. There is a potential for both the Sixers AND the Knicks to give us a very serious run in the ECF.
Thanks.

They are exactly that. Bold it again and again until it sinks in. Add Embiid to the list. Add Butler to the list. Must hurt your soul that Jaylen Brown has one and almost none of those guys can even make the finals despite all the moving around and buddying up they constantly do. Lol

Three of the four guys who win nothing and can't even make the finals--Harden, Westbrook, Kyrie--have made it to the finals.

12 years ago. Got their asses handed to em and never ever got there again, probably never will.
Idk what difficulty you’re having here. These guys have been building little buddy teams for YEARS and these teams constantly fall flat on their faces. It was Harden, Embiid and Maxey, Harden, Kyrie and Durant, Harden, George and Kawhi, Westbrook and however many more combinations that were meant to run the league and got nothing. But yea let’s be worried because 12 years ago some of them made the finals and lost, sure sure.

Kyrie literally made the finals a month ago.

But yeah, the difficulty I'm having is my version of reality, which I believe is fairly accurate, is just wildly different from whatever world you are living in.

I bet if I scroll back to 2008 in the Pistons forum there's probably a thread similar to this about the KG/Pierce/Ray big 3...
"None of them have ever won anything."
"Pierce and Ray were injured last year already and KG is old too so could break down."
"They don't have any proven players outside their big 3 to beat an actually well-built team."
Just saying...
And I'm not saying I don't still have us ranked higher. But seems to be some over the top dismissal of them as a contender and threat here, IMO.

Does your version of reality have these guys teaming up for YEARS and having 0 titles to show for it? I just listed like 5 different combos with Harden, George, Westbrook, Irving, Embiid, Butler with 0 rings to show for. Unless LeBron or Curry sign up to carry them, they can’t be trusted. Everybody knows this. Most recent example is Beal, Durant and Booker. It’s been proven over and over and over again that these guys rarely live up to the hype they generate. These dudes are the Carmelo Anthonys and Allen Iverson’s of their gen.

Harden and Kyrie (who was just in the Finals this past season) are the only ones you could say are guilty of "teaming up" with someone else within the group. With each other ironically even. Just because they were on some of the same rosters doesn't mean they were teaming up. Several of our guys played with Kyrie so are they guilty of it? The history of the league is full of very good players having 0 titles to show for it though, and our own guys were all in that group until 2 weeks ago, and the "hype" they previously got is exactly why nobody picked us to beat the Mavs (morons!). What do you expect a guy like Embiid to do? Not care about winning and continue playing with Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris or when his team has money sign the best free agent available and be guilty of teaming up? Neither come without criticism.

Paul George is literally signing for possibly the only team that is willing to pay him a max contract. I wouldn't call that "teaming up."
