Great signing. Unreal that we got him for the minimum. Absolutely a rotation player.

It seems like the league is headed towards a majority of players on either max contracts or vet mins, with a handful of guys sprinkled between.

bball index has him very consistently being slightly below average defensively the past three seasons while being pretty bad offensively. they must have a very specific role in mind for him. but if he's not a great rebounder and he's not a good defender and his three point shooting is only slightly above average, that makes him a guy who shouldn't play deep into the playoffs.

looking at his box scores from the Lakers last playoff series, he was basically their first guy off the bench. or at least the guy on the bench getting the most minutes. most of the scoring was concentrated to Lebron, AD, Reaves and Russell, so he didn't score much.

idk.. feels very meh. i'd be interested to know why some of you are excited about this

Prince played on a 1 year 4M contract last season and two years 7M the contract prior.

The real win is Delon Wright. Just a way more impactful overall player and also for the minimum.

(W/ similar energy as Prince in this famous post-game presser) because we don't value bball index as much as you.

A bit surprised the response has been (mostly) positive. Seems like most moves get bashed here. This is a very solid pickup.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yeah I think the apron concept will be heavily discussed in the next CBA. I understand why it's done and it's overall a good idea but seems to affect a lot of players. It does suck that it kicked in just when it affects us.

This feels like a pretty solid signing. He's a good shooter from deep and, from what I can recall, he really does hustle/provide max effort, which is at least something when coupled with the fact that his body isn't falling apart.

The last part there is possibly most exciting, though, sad as it is. Being only ("only") 30 feels like a win. Ultimately I'm not overly excited, and some very valid flaws have been called out here, but I am pretty glad to play him compared to what Jae gave us, or trying to get excited about MJB.

anyone who wanted better talent/fit out of two minimum slots than what Horst just got with Wright/Prince was way overly optimistic

get Theis with the 3rd and get someone to take Pat off our hands to get under the apron and that's a pretty great offseason considering the lack of assets/flexibility

that's one way to answer an honest question without actually answering it. still would love to hear some actual reasons why people are excited.

Good signing which makes me think Pat C will be traded soon.

So have we officially released anyone yet? If not who is likely to just be let go? Beas, PatBev, Crowder, Gallinari, Thanasis, TyTy, Pat?

OK, how bout our roster is more geared to play him at PF, & that's just a better way we can deploy which, which bball index isn't parsing, unlike Cleaning the Glass, which is looking at indications of overall floor impact.

Or he'll be used in a worse way, and be a moderate negative. Either way, we had minimums to offer. This is about the best we can hope for (other than Reed/Achiuwa, who are PF/Cs). The juicier additions we'd have to trade for.

Is there any path to getting Precious Achiuwa?

He’s the Jae replacement, but I hope if a young guy pops we don’t keep forcing minutes to prince.

Prince is a solid forward, he defends with energy and shoots the 3 at probably exactly average (among multiple attempts a game guys). He can be the 8/9 guy in a playoff rotation. He’ll take a lot of reg season minutes. Good locker room guy. Great get for the min.

Considering it took five 2nd round picks to get Jae, good signing for the min
