Go Ivory Coast! A 20pts loss would be like a win! One of their players has the same last name as my wife and he plays for Spanish club Moron :lol:

I don't mind how Greece plays under Spanoulis. We've had more talent in the past but at least the ball moves and everybody shoots a little. Starting 2 point guards in Calathes and Walkup helps although the bench feels pretty weak behind those two. Giannis seems to pair well with the other bigs, nobody seems to be in each other's way. Overall not a bad team to watch.

Lithuania narrowly beats Ivory Coast 97-93. Lekavicius was the main protagonist for Lithuania, made all the big plays and also dumb mistakes but he made the game winning 3pter. But the team's not clicking, Italy's going to be a tough opponent to go through. Ivory Coast has a good chance to beat Mexico and make it to SF.

Bahrain scored 4pts in the 1st quarter against Puerto Rico. I wonder what's the record in official FIBA international games for least points in a quarter.

There was no Philippines vs Slovenia game. Philippines played (and beat) Latvia while Slovenia played (and lost to) Croatia.

As for replays, they are probably available on Courtside 1891, the official streaming service of the games. It's not free, though, it's subscription-based. Courtside 1891 also runs on DAZN so you could find it in there as well but I've never used either site so I have no idea how they work.

Do you know any streaming platform for the Paris Olympic games?

To make things simple, Slovenia HAS to beat NZ by 11 points and both Slovenia and Croatia advances:
Slovenia (-16, +11) = -5
Croatia = +12
NZ (+4, -11) = -7

(If SLO beats NZ by exactly 6 points i believe we go to the next tiebreaker which is points scored (have to double check).

I am confused by your post.
We get to the best tiebreaker if SLO beats them by 10, not 6. If they beat them by 11 or more CRO and SLO qualify

Slovenia was -16 vs Croatia, while NZ was +4.

Slovenia -16
NZ +4
Croatia +12 (Lost to NZ by 4 and Won over Slovenia by 16, so 16-4 =12)

So if Slovenia wins by 11 points over NZ, Slovnia is -16 +11, or -5.
Same scenario, NZ is +4 and -11, or -7.

So Croatia (+12) and Slovenia (-5) will advance with NZ having the worst Points Differential.

Now, if it's exactly 10 points win by SLO over NZ;

Slovenia (-16 vs CRO, +10 vs NZ) = -6
New Zeland (+4 vs CRO, -10 vs SLO) = -6
Croatia still +12

That is where it's even more interesting, as the next tie break i believe will be Points For (Or points scored), who ever has the higher one (in this group stages).

Re-reading my post yeah, i meant 10 points exactly (the 6 points willl be the exact point differential i was looking at for the extra tiebreak)

They have an "international" option. i'll advise against it since it's mostly local, if you want the FIBA games just go for the Courtside 1891 (i believe official app by FIBA) and they have more selection of the international games.

Some crazy results, but tbh FIBA just continues to put out garbage product with their nonsense qualification system. During the season qualies best teams are missing all of their best players cause they play in the NBA or Euroleague. Now we have this qualification right after season finishes.

Hooray for Philippines. Never thought I'd see the day when a PHL team would outsize a Western opponent but that was how it looked like in the first half when 7'3 Sotto and 6'10 Fajardo seemingly dominated Latvia's frontcourt. The biggest difference between Coach Tim and Coach Chot is the former isn't bashful in using as much size as possible. I still cringe remembering the time when Chot pulled out a five-guard lineup in last year's World Cup with Jordan Clarkson at center.

I'm not a fan of the in season qualification games. The only good thing is that they force teams to have deeper rosters and essentially 20 guys that need to be able to compete at that level. That said, none of the potentially good teams missed the Olympic qualifying tournament. Everyone is there.

Having these games exactly after the season sucks, but when else should they have played them? Last year after the world cup? Randomly in 2021 after the Olympics? Some teams are missing injury prone guys like Porzingis. And you could argue that Towns would be playing, had he had more time to rest. But I really don't see how you schedule this differently.
