Pels/Cavs/Kings
Pels get Allen, Huerter, Strus
Cavs get BI, Sac 27 first top 1
Kings get Herb
Pels move value from BI and Zion’s backup into a long defensive young starting center, former all star. Creating a frontline of Zion, Allen, Murphy, Strus. And they add shooting around Zion in a long two guard.
Cavs get the wing they need and let Mobley loose, they also add a low protection first.
Kings get the PF they need.
Money works. Kings stay under the tax. Neutral for the Cavs and the Pels add 3 million but take up an additional roster spot for a rotational player.

Re: Pels/Cavs/Kings
I dont think I would trade BI for Allen + Struss, but it makes sense, considering fit plus Ingram salary, adding Herb to get Huerter would kill the deal for me If im the Pels.

I had the hesitation coming from the Cavs since BI is on an expiring. The Sac first is what puts them in.

Herb >> Huerter and 1 1st.
Probably cost 3 1sts for 3 cheap years of Herb

Yes. But it’s Herb for Strus/Huerter.
I could be wrong but I don’t see BI on his expiring and wanting to get the max as worth Allen/Strus on their deals.

Strus is not worth much. I'm just pointing out sacramento is leeching value

Send what value where?
I agree it’s a good deal for Sac., I think it makes all three teams better. I don’t see Herb as worth multiple firsts though.

You dont think a 1st team all nba defensive team wing who shot 41.8% from 3s (albeit on lowish volume 3.6attempts/game) and is owed only 42M over 3 years is worth more than 1 first? If thats the case then you will get outbid handily by other teams (Philly especially comes to mind)

Re: Pels/Cavs/Kings
This works better for the Cavs (and likely the Pelicans) if you include LeVert's expiring instead of Strus. That said, Ingram's contract expectations are reportedly a threshold issue for the Cavs. As in, they don't want to trade for him if he'll only sign a max extension. Changing the pieces involved doesn't change that.

Yeah, Ingrams situation is "simply", he wants his max, if you trade for him, you should be prepared to max him or see he test the FA.

I get that, but it leads to teams for whom every dollar of cap space matters (good teams), not wanting to trade for him.
Maybe that matters to him. Maybe he doesn't care at all.

Please stop with the Ingram to Cleveland deals. I see no chance of Cleveland offering someone like him a max deal until they are certain they know what they have or don't have in Mobley
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Lol did you see the contracts 3&D guys are getting nowdays? Mcdaniels 5/131, Anunoby 5/210, KCP 3/66,
Brooks 4/86,....
Herb Jones is on 4/53 milion contract. He is worth more then all of the guys above. No way Pelicans are including him in this kind of deal.
Huerter and 1st for Herb?
You probably couldnt get Naji Marshall for that before he left(not considering contracts).

If I’m the Cavs I’d rework the deal so they also get herb. But I don’t see Pels trading him

If the Cavs are trading for Ingram they have to be willing to assume some risk. Allen and Strus? I just don’t value that as much as Ingram. I think the first would get rerouted to the Pels and Sac needs to add even more value than that.

The problem is that the Cavs aren't willing to assume that risk. Extend and trades are legal under the new CBA. The risk can be removed and it can get worked out now, or the Pelicans can trade him elsewhere.

What number do you want him at?

I think $35-40M per (25% of the cap) is fair. As far as the Cavs, the only thing that has been made publicly clear is they're not interested in paying him the max.

You(and any team)'ll have a hard time convincing Ingram that he deserves less money than OG Anunoby. He will probabky preffer to play the season and increase his value(beting on himself) and wait for the next FA where more teams will have more space.

Re: Pels/Cavs/Kings
I don't fault Cavs for not wanting to max out BI, it's one of the reasons he's being traded from a team facing cap issues.
That said what is being overlooked in these suggestions for Allen is that his offensive fit with ZIon is less than ideal. Jonas who's an efficient post threat like Allen had to restructure his game to the 3pt line to help space the floor. Allen doesn't even attempt 3's, which means teams that zone Zion don't have to worry about giving an open shot. NO's talking about vertical spacing but Allen would be best on a team that plays 4 out. That's not NO's, they need to play 4 out with Zion, that's not Allen
If Allen & Zion are impacting the game, teams as they have will live with Herb & Murray throwing up long range shots. Reason NO's offense was feast or famine last year, was how well they shot the 3 ball when dared to. One thing is certain is teams won't have to worry about Allen.
As good of court value Herb is, his contract is as valuable to NO's who are capped, as anyone.
