But in this example - you could acquire a guy under contract like Clint Capela if you paid Precious $22.6mm in a sign and trade - Capelas salary plus the 4.3mm difference between Bridges/Bogdonovic

No, not a chance.

First, I believe he can not be traded for a while considering he was just re-signed.

Second, we need to give more salary than mikal salary. We are under 4,3M. We can only take back what we give minus 4,3M. If we just sign and trade Precious, we need that the other team signs Precious for 29,3M.

Third, I think we do not have enough assets to get Claxton.

I know buzz is just a troll, but it's really weak bait to call a guy 2 seasons in, who's started 62 of his 138 games, a "career backup" especially when the guy we just lost as our starter has only started in 61 games across 6 seasons.

We will add Precious to the deal so we don’t take in more salary than we send out and don’t get hard capped. Since we won’t be hard capped we can use our 6m or 5m TPE to trade for a C, probably attach 2 or 3 seconds to the TPE to make it happen. Maybe even first round pick swap.

Are there BYC restrictions on a Precious sign and trade - ie we can only take back 50% of his salary because of him getting a certain raise?

So for example - he gets $15mm so we can take back $7.5mm. Which leaves us with $3.2mm net of Bridges to take back a player or closer to 5.4mm by throwing in a min piece?

That should be enough room for Nick Richard’s.
