Either one would be fine, I do think it's gonna take something to get Richards, just because of how injury prone Mark Williams has been so far, he's been their IHart starting a ton of games.

Kessler's defensive potential coupled with Thibs could develop into something really good.

Ya I'm all in with getting Kessler but it takes two to tango so his price might be too high.

There are actually some decent back up PG’s still out there we should be able to get for that amount. If they were to move McBride for a center.

These dudes got something up their sleeve I just don’t know what. As someone else said, Sller out here playing chess, idk what to expect. I forgot Shake was even here.

This made me laugh because I did too-even though I dont know **** about the new and /modified CBA...

If they resign Precious first they could go over the 1st apron in using the TPE but then be hard capped at the 2nd apron after using it I think.

Using a TPE generated last season or using part of the non taxpayer MLE would trigger a first apron hard cap. Taking back more money than sending out in a trade or receiving a player via sign and trade triggers hard cap at 1st apron.

A second apron hard cap was generated by aggregating salaries. I also believe sending an outgoing sign and trade player (Milton) also triggers the 2nd apron hard cap.

Remember - this system was designed to level the playing field for big market teams who could eat the tax and small market teams that can’t (and save low income owners like the Kronkes and Balmers money)

R-DAWG furiously searching for the bad news :D

Also, I think people are really underrating how much space he will have with not just OG and Divo, but Mikal as well. He’s gonna have a great year.

We're gonna be seeing a lot of this Julius next year

I want to see him at the 5 more, that's where I think he'll be at his best in a playoff setting, without the unskilled oaf clogging the lane next to him. I need to see playoff success before I sign off on him extending though.

He'd be allowed to play the 5 for the Pacers as he is now. If Randle wants to play the 5 on the Knicks, he can prove it with his effort and attitude on defense. Otherwise, sucks for him, but I guess we'll always be looking for centers and the ones that stretch the floor for him are not cheap.

Trading for Richards will be difficult from a cap standpoint unless they sign and trade Precious. Richards makes 5 million. Knicks would have to take back more salary than 5 million to avoid getting hard capped at 1st apron again.

And Kessler just seems unrealistic considering Ainge is going to want first round picks. I’d continue to monitor that situation but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

I told some of you who were complaining nothing was happening and that it was "too quiet" to be patient. And the KNICKS still have more work to do.

i think most that said it was "too quiet" was is was an inference that they were handling our concerns...

Nice that the Knicks have signed Pac Dadi and Kolek so they probably won't be included in any trades. I guess it's possible sometime before the season starts since they can after a month but the way they both were signed so shortly after the completed MB trade has me thinking they want to keep those two.

I suspect we might not hear about Precious getting resigned until the Knicks have something else lined up for the center spot. Since they often do a flurry of moves it could be they are keeping this open for flexibility but lock it down as soon as it all comes together. Then also sign the remaining two rookie second rounders to finish the roster.

Would rather ride with the rookies. Our regular season now means little compared to having everyone healthy for the Playoffs, where whatever our seed, we have a decent chance of winning any series.

Is Deuce likely to be flipped for a big now or will they sign Precious and call it a offseason?

Knicks leaking that they have general interest in centers instead of specific interest in Kessler. They include that they could just go ahead and resign Precious and deal with it that way.

Knicks signaling to teams that have C's, but particularly Ainge, that they are interested, but they have options.

Game on.

Of course, Ainge will ask for 2 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks AND McBride, so goodbye Kessler.

I think it's possible, but not likely.

I think the Knicks would like a backup/fringe starter C, but at a certain price.

If teams get greedy, Knicks will simply resign Precious at go with that. Which is less than ideal but is "ok"

I don't think they leak true intent, but will use Woj and Begley to drop hints, for strategy purposes.
