Olympics - OQT

Post#1 » by RookieStar » Wed Jul 3, 2024 12:35 am

Ok i dont see this thread anywhere. Thought maybe we should discuss this?

Seeing as we have Goga, Wagner bros and even Suggs ( playing against dream team ).

Anyhoo.... anyone saw Gogas game against Latvia? Did he suck or what?

Goga did OK, Latvia just overwhelmed them with jumpers. It’s not done, but Georgia is basically already screwed. So Bitadze’s summer will be short. He looks noticeably skinnier and I wonder if we told him to become more mobile. My fear is him getting pushed around more now.

Wagner brothers’ first friendly is I believe against France in a few days.

Ingles yesterday played with the Aussies in their first friendly. He did fine against a meh China side. Point forward stuff. It’s not a given that Joe makes the final Olympic team. I’d be stunned if he’s not on that team, but it’s not a given like in years past. He looks like he may have a dropped a bit of weight as well.

Yeah Goga looks gaunt. Dunno of its tue uniform or not. But we kinda do need him to be beefier.

We cant rely on JI and MoeSwag to bang around downlow.

I also watched the highlights of the Aus-China match cuz i heard there were some shenanigans. NGL i thought Jingles was gonna be in the middle of it lol

Anyhoo... papa Joe looks slim and 5 yrs younger. He was playing heavy minutes. The usual 3pter and high iq passing.

Ok that was some shaqtin moment by Goga.

First he took out Kai in the 2nd quarter by landing kn him, then he himself was out by getting hit in the crown jewels.

But the biggest moment was he tried a putback jam by the opponents missed FT to try to sebd it to OT but he still missed. I never thought id see shenanigans like that before...

Is this going to be another Jeff Green deal...where he's great every year before and after ORL?

JK...Ingles was good, but he did seem physically limited as season wore on. He looked much older than he is (and he IS old). Hearing he's lean and fitter is a bit maddening.

He had a bad game tbh. He missed a lot of easy shots that wcj would have made ;)

Him and Goga looks slimmer. In Jingles it looked good. In Goga it looks concerning cuz I dunno if he can bang with the big boys with that body.

Although it could be the fiba/olympic cameras that made them look lean
