Bye Deuce

Deuce aint going nowhere, he's basically Thibs guard version of Taj along with Hart being his 'forward' verison of it. Coach probably texts both of them every night before he goes to sleep with little heart emojis.

Lmao! Thibs sending emojis is wild!

i'm just a tad bit skeptical of his ability to contribute to the knicks success this year or the years to follow

He's been a pro for 5 years but still young at 22 years old, he has a man's body(7 foot, 245lbs), elite athleticism and agility, he's got skill on both ends of the court and he played an important role for his team that went to the NBL finals.

Better than Sims right now so to think he can give decent mins off the bench in the limited role Thibs asks of big man is not unreasonable. His skill set and physical profile is as close to iHart as could be found in this draft but just needs to prove he can do it in the NBA.

It's fine to be skeptical especially if we look at the 58th pick in a weak draft without any other context, add in the context of who this player is and that should change the perception just a bit.

This is the best film session I have found on him, it gives everything from good to bad about him.

Which is fine in theory if we are healthy. However one injury to Mitch and we are in big trouble. 48 mins of precious and sims would be a disaster.

I know its nice to believe but realistically how many 58th overall picks make an impact in the NBA, let alone in there 1st year, let alone for a team with championship asperations. In a really weak draft non-the less.

I would love to see him be good...the odds just aren't great.

Remove the context of who that player is and what they are then yea, probabilities say one thing. Watch the 2.5 hour film session video I posted above on him before you place any bets on probabilities.

Don't forget that Sims was the 58th pick but played in 41 games, 13mpg as a rookie and he was just a nonskilled player that could only jump high. Huk has been a pro for 5 years and is skilled on both ends of the court coming of a finals run with his pro team.

Add that context to the fact of the limited role that Thibs requires from bigs and the probabilities change. Obviously there are no guarantees but it's a little more to it than just the 58th pick in a weak draft context.

I'm watching the Pac Dadi one now and have the Vanilla Brunson one on deck.

It's like they chronical literally every touch the player has. Nice to see it all good and bad instead of just highlights.

Again, I hate that people think Nerlens Noel, prime Mitch type center is the only center that can thrive with Thibs. We seen what a center who brings more to the table can do for the team. We lost a playmaking center and People like, Sims can start and Mitch can back him up lol.

Seriously.

It’s like they’re not paying attention that Thibs has no offensive scheme and relies on his players for ball movement. Hartenstein was a big part of moving the ball at the big man spot (including Randle).
