Rozier trade also came with 15 million worth of luxury tax savings. For Micky that was well worth the first that also brought a much younger starting PG. All trade scenarios are somewhat different. We gave up the corpse of Lowry and his expiring for this deal. I don’t see many teams with an old man expiring and first for Herro. Jordan Poole was dumped for Paul while GS had to send out a 1st and 2nd.

Im not even upset at the Rozier trade. It was the move to make. Didnt help being a playin and Butler going down. Weve got more guys that we needed on the roster now. Butler needs to have his best season. I hope he surprises us.

You better draft, and draft well. Funny that this wake up, slap to the face, would occur right before a very interesting 2025 draft class.

Weve got more young guys than ever. We develop players well. We have a squad of youngsters now...without that superstar/leader. Get him. Have the exact same space youd expect to have with HIM and cap space and a TEAM in 2026.

Everyone said this years draft class sucked but i think this draft class has potential to have a major impact on this organization. Next year’s draft class could be hyped then flop. We essentially got a lottery talent(Ware)and three 2nd rd picks(Larsson, Johnson, and Pullin). Just never know. Stepien rule atleast saves us from ourselves. Either way we have a pick to pay out so for me the sooner the better.

C Kelel Ware 7’0
PF Keshad Johnson 6’7
SF Jaime Jaquez Jr 6’6
SG Pelle Larsson 6’6
PG Zyon Pullin 6’4

For me that’s one good haul of young talent the last two drafts. Now let our development team works it’s magic

Really feel like Mia will look back and regard the draft as a missed opportunity to get Carter

San Antonio’s pick went for dirt cheap

And it wouldn’t of stopped them from still getting Ware

For me, Ive been saying for every year of Spos small ball, that we needed to hook Bam up with an actual center to play with. Ware is the exact archetype Ive been hoping for. If the Heat like him, I feel even better. Amazing draft just off of that. Add in what look like quality Heat type talent in the UDFA and 2nd round, and Im very pleased.

Would please me even more if we dont resign HS and Caleb, as Id rather give those minutes to the kids.

As for next years draft, we already have prospects with much more clout coming in than this past draft. Its obvious as soon as you watch them play the game. Theres an electricity to their games. I didnt feel that about any of the top guys this year. It was all about roles and fitting in to the right situation. Youve got guys coming in who can take over games.

If we dealt Butler, we could potentially jump into the top 4 of 2025. I feel like thats a gamble Id take. Thats just me though. Im trying to strike gold. Its all a gamble. Youre not going to win big unless you take some risks. On the flip side, nothings guaranteed.

Add in Jovic, and we are actually in a better spot compared to other teams. Lakers, Bucks and Celtics don't have these young players with upside.

As much as i liked Carter I think Ware was the right pick all a long. This team has been starving for an athletic big for so many years now.

Spurs got a 2030 swap and 2031 unprotected 1st. We are already dealing with lack of asset resources.

Jimmy is top 3 favourite heat player of all time for me. With that said the right path is to trade him for picks, suck this year, get a top 3 draft pick and do a quick rebuild.

For a top 8 pick, that’s a steal of a price

Yup. We could have an athletic defensive front court to terrorize people. Imagine Bam switching on your best players and frustrating them and if they manage to get by him they're driving into a rim protecting Ware. I love it.

On offense if Ware hits his potential he can operate from outside giving Bam space.

Bam will FINALLY have consistent help on the boards as well.

I hope you guys are right. I imagine this year Spo is going to keep it simple and basically have Ware act as a lob threat and rim runner. Over time, hopefully he starts to open up the offense with his shooting ability and offensive skills.

That's probably key with Ware. Give him simple and definite roles in the beginning. Let him build strength, timing and confidence in his early years. By year 3 he hopefully takes off like Bam did

I’ve been sayin’, marson.

Strong Braun vibes. The stroke is similar, athletic profile looks similar…would be a good pick in the second round if he follows Braun’s lead.

Damn that is wild we gave them massive cap relief and a 1st for a multi year deal that is somewhat questionable but apparently we can’t with a 24 year old Tyler. Thats literally like the pistons trading us THJ and a 1st for Herro

That’s a viable deal. Hope that happens

Ingram is young enough, big enough, and scored enough points for me to want to take a gamble on him.

If Spo can help him get more efficient on offense and more focused on defense he'd become an Allstar wing in a league where big wings are priceless.

And he's the most attainable from the high caliber players out there - won't require sending out our young guys.
