Will be tuning in for both July 7 ESPN games, first to check out Sheppard and then Risacher vs. Sarr.

Is Wemby actually playing?

I might go catch a game either way.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

Something called Olympic Games are on the way, and practicing with the french national team at the moment ... i doubt he'll make a detour by Vegas

What's the over/under on the first time an announcer says "Knecht from deep" or "Knecht from 3"? The first one he makes or does it take a while for someone to drop it?

Thanks. Didn't even know Yves Missi was Belgian, two Belgium guys in the league currently. Camara and Missi.

Yves Missi was born in Belgium but grew up in Cameroon. Actually there are 3 belgians in the league right now: Missi ( Pelicans), Camara ( Portland) and Mitchell (OKC).

Ajay Mitchell, drafted by OKC with the 34th pick, is also a Belgian who played for the belgian national youth teams as well professionally in Belgium before going to college. Big and savy guard with a smooth game. Really improved his shooting and shot 39% from 3 last season at UC Santa Barbara. I think he will carve out a role but his playing time with the Thunder will probably limited at an early stage because of their depth. Would love to see him get a chance with a team with less depth at the guard position.

The California Classic is being split between Golden 1 center in Sac and Chase Center in SF. So teams will field 2 different teams. Kinda weird, but before the Classic was alternating between Sac and SF.

Well they're different dates so it's more basketball overall. Not sure if all teams can participate in multiple, but dont see why not.

Would love if the California Classic became a big big thing - it's already pretty popular.

Multiple summer leagues just lets teams rotate more players. Teams in Vegas are guaranteed to play 4 games, I think, but having a few more games lets teams put players in different situations.

Jazz, for example, may play Keyonte and Walker Kessler a game or two. Then they’ll focus on other guys. So it just creates more game reps for guys looking to make a roster here or overseas.

The question on everyone's minds: will Tidjane Salaün play in the California Classic? It was reported that he would not participate in mini-camp due to a left knee laceration but he has been participating in mini camp, so we will see.

Four games of SL action, and split between two arenas [SAC / SF]. This is why the Kings are playing twice (and the teams are labeled as Kings 1 and Kings 2). Completely different rosters.

I think this can be the game thread. Too many other stickied threads right now imo. But if we get a ton of comments during summer league games I can reevaluate and start making daily game threads for them I guess.

Never heard that before, thats even weirder than having China... NBA will sleep with a devil, just to have more money, it is pretty sad, especially from a league that is allegedly so pro social justice, human rights etc.

?

What are you talking about? It’s pretty common in baseball to have split squads. They probably just want to get more runs in for more dudes. I don’t think it’s a revenue thing bro
