This “hurry up and wait” off season has been exhausting so far lol. We came into free agency with guns blazing, the head coach said he wants to switch things up around Giannis and Dame. Now I’m on high alert and we have Delon Wright and Taurean Prince on bargain deals. Solid, but that doesn’t exactly coincide with what Doc said. I gotta assume there are deals on the table we just don’t like and are trying to squeeze still.

Lauri, Trae and Ingram are the big trade targets right now. Horst needs to weasel his way into 1 of those trades as a 3rd party and get us the assets we need.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

I agree that the team's success ultimately hinges on Dame/Giannis meshing/health but I think it equally hinges on the team's ability to get back into the top 5-10 defensively.

Essentially this same roster had problems with garnering the will and ability to do that last season. I understand the right deal might not be out there but I don't think standing firm with what we had equals a top 4 in the league team. We havent seen those Bucks in a long time.

Bucks (and a lot of other teams) have not announced their roster yet. The players I’ve seen reported so far are:

AJ Johnson
Tyler Smith
Ryan Rollin
Jaylin Galloway
Philip Alston – Loyola Chicago
Jalen Lewis – Overtime Elite
Justin Moore – Villanova
Vin Baker Jr.

Would think we'd at least see Dre and Livingston.

I think you can add AJJ and Chris Livingston to that lineup too.

If the Jazz want to get out of John Collins contract maybe they would take less if the Bucks included him in a deal to get Kessler. Collins has his flaws but he can space the floor, run the break, catch lobs, and is no worse of a defender than Portis. Taking Collins back would also free up the ability to trade Portis for a player like Terrance Mann

Would Mann, Kessler, and Collins improve the Bucks over Patty C, Lopez, and Bobby?

Question is would this board be happy with simons as our 2 n wpuld do you all think wpuld be tbe asking price.Having dane in year 2 is paying off if article is true first trent now simons.
It is mentioned again today on X

Haven’t seen any reports linking him to us, but I don’t think he and Lillard are a good pair, which is a big part of why it didn’t work in Portland. Definitely a good talent though. Feels like he might be a fit in Orlando.

I never said we were linked to him just said he mentioned milwaukee as a place he eould like to go to because of dame thats all.Apparsntly those 2 are friends

It's cool that Simons would want to be here, and he can really gun it, but unfortunately he's a brutal defender, for no good reason.

I don't really care to be honest, but I assume we'll have guys like Livingston, Jackson, maybe Beauchamp there as well and that would make the lineup a lot better.

If you could get Kessler and Collins for Lopez and Pat, I’m all over it.

But I’d rather keep Bobby over acquiring Mann. Mann seems redundant now that they signed Prince and Wright.

I'm guessing so they can reroute the pick to Brooklyn for Cam Johnson. Something like that.

I wonder if Gery found a new source inside the org. He was pretty early to the Bucks being interested in AJ Johnson if I'm not mistaken.

Why would 32-year old Delon Wright make an awesome 27-year old 3&D guy redundant? Mann is probably the last guy the Clips trade after losing PG, but he's more than just some catch & shoot dude on offense. Let's not forget he basically closed out the West 1-seed a few years back when Kawhi went down. I can't think of many more perfect fits next to Dame in the backcourt.

MKE In - Simons, Camara
POR In - Lopez, Beauchamp, pick(s)

Aligns us well with the new NBA (max out shot creators and hit as many 3s as you can who cares about anything else.) We'd have to start him which would be the same terrible D as Beasley but Simons is a way way better offensive player. And he's Dame insurance.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
