I would really really really love Lauri here. Probably the best fit hands down between Bam and Butler in the league. I just don’t see us having the ammo. Ainge is going to want the picks instead of the players. He needs the roster space for all the incoming talent on the horizon. No need to take on long term deals like Herro’s. Especially when you got 3 guards like Sexton, George, and Clarkson while drafting Isaiah Collier.

Also, dont try and deal with Ainge. Hes evil. The one time we shouldve was when he wanted to trade for Winslow.

I doubt ATL trades Trae unless they get a haul. Without Trae, theyre likely giving up a top 4 pick in next years draft. Im sure they will try and get that back from the Spurs.

Ainge is probably asking for at minimum the Bridges package for Lauri and rightfully so. Hawks are not dealing Trae to Miami plain and simple. Not sure why Heat fans keep running with that. They hear price low and think the Hawks are going to value Herro and Duncan higher? Hawks are trying to get Kobe Bufkin playing time.

Okay so since we’re officially interested in Lauri and nobody else of worth is attainable….

Herro, JJJJ, and Niko and a 1st

For

Lauri and Sexton.

It gets Ainge his guy in Herro who is 3 years younger than Lauri (who will command the max VERY SOON) JJJ a young player who is good at everything and will be a very good starter in this league, Niko a unicorn who has a very high ceiling and playoff experience, plus a future 1st.

Miami gets Bams front court partner to match up with the Bostons, Milwaukee, Philly, Wolves, OKC’s, Nuggets of the world. Also gets us Sexton who is fearless, attacks the paint and has that dawg in him.

We’d have

Bam Ware
Lauri Love
Jimmy Highsmith (resigned)
Duncan Sexton (possible 6th man candidate)
Rozier Richardson

Does this team conpete in your eyes? Is it achampionship contender? I say it does. And is the best move to make.
