Let's not forget he basically closed out the West 1-seed a few years back when Kawhi went down. I can't think of many more perfect fits next to Dame in the backcourt.

If we’re dealing out Lopez, I value Bobby much more than Mann. A Bobby/Kessler front court could be interesting with some offense/defense potential

PatBev tweet about AJJ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Umude.

Nobody wants to hear it, but AJJ doesn't have the quickness to take 1's off Dame's hands, & that vid reinforces it.

What difference does it make? Even if he could handle PGs it wouldn't mean Dame could all of the sudden check SGs. Either way there's going to be a defensive liability in the backcourt.

Plus I disagree with that statement. AJJ has the quickness to guard both backcourt positions.

They don't see it yet but they will.

Gery caveats aside, his Brook tweet is a bit worse than that other one even indicated.

Dame should usually guard whoever's the weaker attacker in the backcourt, so you can hide him, + save his legs. And his 6'8" wingspan doesn't make him disproportionately mismatched against most 2's.

If there is anyway to trade Lopez for Kessler you do it.

Kings and Bulls need a third team for the Demar deal. If Horst can walk away with Barnes and Ellis I’ll forgive him for everything

The crazy thing is, you can really get fooled about Thon just by watching his highlights. Highlights Thon is THE PERFECT FIT for us right now. Highlight Thon is a top 10 Buck of all-time.

Mke: Sharpe, DFS, Duop, Mann
Lac: Bobby, 2nd
SAS: Brook
Bkn: Graham, ‘25 SAS 1st (or some other one)
Por: marjon

Dame/Delon/Johnson
Mann/Pat/Dre/Green
Khris/Prince/Livingston
Giannis/DFS/Smith
Sharpe/Duop

We would come in under the 2nd apron pretty comfortably. We would be able to mix and match a ton with this squad. Hopefully some of the young guys would put pressure on the vets and pass them up (pat, Prince), but even if they didn’t, it’s a strong group with a good mix of youth and vets.

We’d have something like 65m expiring in the off-season with Khris (if he opts out), Mann, DFS (seems likely he opts out), Sharpe, Delon, Prince, but that wouldn’t be all useable space since Giannis and Dame have jumps with their salary.

You win it all, and get ready to pay those dudes, and seek some sign and trade compensation. Overall, I think that team would be hell to deal with.

doesn't seem like there is much incentive to trading Brook at this point, worth more as a player this next season

Well Brook’s salary slot fits.

Chicago would need incentive though. Especially if we’d be the ones pulling Keon.

Despite ample opportunity he's also never come even close to showing he's that guy ever again though. Outside of that game he's never scored more than 15 points in a playoff game. He's never made more than 3 threes. Since 21' (when he became basically a full time player for the Clippers) he has a higher turnover % than assist % in the playoffs. I don't really dislike him but I think trading for him with the hopes that he's got this extra gear that he's basically never shown outside of literally 1 game (playoffs or not even) would be some wishful thinking.

Kessler isn't the type of center we should be chasing. Drop centers are useless in the playoffs. The playoffs are about mobility.

Agile, switchable. That's what we should be pursuing, and I think we are.

Barnes is one of the games worst contracts. Useless player.

I agree with you that Ellis is good, but AJJ could be our Ellis. He might even be better.

Sounds like one of Gery's old buddies is trying to get Brook, and doesn't like our real asking price.

I doubt thus tactic of negotiating through the media will work, as there is multiple suitors for Brook.

Is there any big bodies to pick up just for the embiid and joker matchups?
