Duren sucks defensively. Physically talented and a double double machine but cancels it out with crappy defensive IQ and defensive effort. Honestly in a lot of ways similar to another former Piston, Drummond lol. Except he’s much worse.

He is only 20. Brook wasn't a good defender early in his career.

Brook’s transformation as a player is not the norm or even close to it lol.

If a player has crappy defensive IQ/feel AND low motor, it’s concerning imo.

So the plan is to wait 10-years for him to become an elite rim-protector? I’m with Prez. I like Duren’s potential but he’s nowhere close to being polished enough to help us win a championship. He’s a guy you target if you’re a rebuilding franchise, not one looking to win in the next 2-years.

I mean, Im not betting my savings on Duren making an all nba first team in the next two seasons. But Id trade Brook and a pick for him in a second.

Personally, I'm hoping Giannis is around another 7-8 years. I'd bet on Duren being figuring things out in that time frame.

That said I don't think there's an ounce of legitimacy to this one. The only mention of it in any outlet is the made up proposal from The Athletic reporter.

Reroute Duran to Atlanta, they'll have no problem with his roll man only offense. Get Okongwu and 2nds to send to Philly for Paul Reed.

Then enjoy being fast and switchable.

$6 million, one year
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

That’s a good sign that someone who insisted they played their way to a raise, got a minor one. Hopefully we’re at the wave of FA the remaining players start looking for prove it opportunities. Caleb Martin or Gary Trent Jr. still seem like absolute pipe dreams on min. deals but fingers crossed.

I bet he gets claimed but even if he doesn’t I’d be shocked if he would sign for the minimum

Would’ve been even nicer to have him for 60 RS and 16 PO games in a Bucks uni.
