Just trying to follow the tea leaves here. If they are really invested in him as the backup to brunson where are those minutes coming if they still have Duece for the next 2-3 years?

could Duece be gone already?

Not sure but...

Begley also in his report tonight said the next set of business is backup big. He did mention Precious but he also made an interesting note...Knicks FO is prioritizing this position because they do expect there backup to potentially start 30 or so games this year with Mitch's injury history.

That just doesn't sound like bring back Precious and pray for health if you ask me.

I dunno, maybe. But I never liked him as a PG and he was never a suitable backup for Brunson imo. More of an Undersized 2 guard, but now we have Mikal and Donte. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s on the move.

But if anybody gets injured we might wish we had him

HAHAHAHA!!

This video was filmed hours before the KNICKS added Shake Milton to the trade to compensate for needing to add more salary -- which made the entire premise of their video moot and (now) outdated.

Poor Nets fans look foolish grasping at straws to appear relevant -- when they're NOT!

Nothing to see here!

that is hopefuly where the TPMLE could come in handy I think there are some quality vet guards we can bring in. There really isn't a big left on the FA market I would trust with any type of minutes outside of Precious but even then I don't think just bringing back Precious is enough.

KNICKS could be serious about Kolek and intend to move Deuce at some point. Or, they could just be giving him a salary to use as a tradeable asset later.

Remember, this front office and Brock Aller usually think several steps ahead. Chess, not checkers.

They may send Deuce out in a Kessler or Richard’s trade with some draft compensation (2nds) coming our way in a potential Richards deal I’m thinking. Then I could see Leon bringing Rokas over and let him and Kolek battle it out for back up duties or we go for a vet like Lowry.

Hate to lose McBride

The NBA moratorium ends Saturday.

The league has forced teams like ours to do things in a certain order just to dance around the new rules. Once contracts start actually getting signed, you'll see a lot more things move.

It's been years since I've followed a Knicks free agency offseason and a first since the new CBA...

I agree with that but with DD moving to the bench...where does that leave Dueces minutes?

I hear you on consistent minutes. But it’s a longgggggg season. Having a deep team allows us to have different options. Dont have to run Brunson into the ground if Tyler got 8 assist in the half. Anybody can tweak an ankle. I rather have Deuce than Alec Burks or something for those situations.

Also keep in mind Deuce stayed ready all year. With Iq,RJ, Donte, Brunson on the team.

Maybe the answer to maxing Randle and Brunson without running into the second apron is to trade Josh hart

That contact for Kolek means the Knicks are banking on this kid big time. Hope he shows them the skills I know he has and balls out.

Deuce brought his own immaculate vibes to the team last season, don't downplay it.

Yes, he's a 2 guard and he started evolving into something more than just a 3 & D guy. He was getting to the rack often late in the season.

Essentially, Deuce is the kind of two-way player that gives you extra punching power off the bench. He can drop several threes quickly or come in and shake it up on defense. We've seen the tempo of games shift in our favor with his defense.

He will come in very handy as the season progresses. They should be in no hurry to move him, because he has additional upside

And don't forget, this Knicks team has the potential to be one of the greatest defensive teams in recent memory. Deuce on the floor with OG and Bridges at the same time is gonna mess with some minds.

Imagine believing a bunch of coping Nets fans on a podcast know more about what's going on than Aller and Rose then posting it here in a hissy like it's true...only a dupe would get their ankles broken on that one...

2 firsts is a bit rich...I might do a first and a couple 2nds.

The WASH 1st will probably be two seconds by the time it conveys unless Sarr shows out right away carrying them to play-in territory. The DET 1st has a pretty good chance of conveying as 2 seconds as well but a greater possibility of coming as a first than the WASH pick.
