Take a look at the moves they made and the move they DIDN'T make this offseason. They're not done. There's still a big target on their radar. I'll have more on that this week.
He says something about Kessler separately so I don't think that's it. Sounds like a bigger fish to me maybe....if he is actually right who and how is the big question

What move haven’t we made though ? The center position is the teams only need so unless they are shipping out Mitch for someone of equal contract value not sure what other big move is left to be made

Got to get Precious and trade for Richards or Kessler.
I trust Knicks management to do the right thing. I think Thibs and the FO are high on Deuce so they won't give him up that easily. If I'm them I wouldn't be so desperate to fill the backup 5 need now. The big man depth is more important in the postseason so they can make that trade or signing before the deadline. Maybe somebody gets bought out.
But for the time being, Precious and Sims are fine in the regular season imo. They were both playable in the season. Playing Sims is not ideal for the playoffs but we should've already acquired a vet by then.

Randle to Minn.
Mitch elsewhere in a 3 way.
KAT to Knicks along with 1 or 2 (gets Minn out of cap hell)
Knicks flip those picks w/Sims for Kessler
Sign Paul Reed
Brunson
Bridges
OG
KaT
Kessler
Deuce
Divo
Hart
Reed

July 6. Is today the day the front office finalizes the roster, obtains a C?

If he can't play the 5, the team needs him less than the other key "big-contract" players on the team.
I think the FO should be proactive here. We can't lose him for nothing, but we can't risk losing other key players because of his next contract either.
OG, Bridges, Brunson, Hart (relative to his contract size) are more valuable than him. Even Mitch and Divo (relative to their contract size) are more valuable than him with the current roster construction.
Why would we lose anybody because of money? Dolan ain’t cheap. I’ve seen that dude pay top dollar for bums like Howard Eisley, Shandon Anderson, Clarence Weatherspoon, Jerome James, broken Penny Hardaway, Eddy Curry, etc. We’re good.

There are no minutes for a player like him unless you don’t want McBride playing or taking minutes from DDV. They also just signed Kolek to the biggest second round contract ever

Randle could be the key part in beating teams like the Celtics especially in a series. The Celtics actually have a better 1 through 3 defense than we do with Tatum, Brown and Holliday and having the scoring Randle can bring down low might be the key to beating them.

Paul Reed was waived by the Sixers. I know he is a no-shooter tweener. But he is an option.

Would need to be Hart + Randle + Sims to do this under the apron - but I would do it. Then sign Paul Reed/resign Precious
Towns/Robinson
Reed/Precious
Anunoby
Bridges/DDV
Brunson/Duce
Could use another wing for Anunoby depth, but I like this team.
The closing lineup either features Mitch for extra rim protection or DDV for extra shooting along with the top 4.

Paul Reed is probably the best front court option left on the free agent market. To be clear - he is a HUGe downgrade from Hartenstein. But options are so limited right now.

I still find Theis a good fit.
I like Saric too but I don't think he fits our style.
