Paul Reed getting waived. That sucks, I was hoping we could fold him into a trade. He'll get more then we can pay him as a FA.

Is anyone else shocked a rebuilding team didn't trade a 2nd for him?

Pelicans have never paid the tax.

Windy’s pod talked a bunch about how Ingram making max just won’t work for them and more teams than expected. Kings are a potential exception since they have made room to acquire another star.

They also mention the market for 5’s drying up faster than expected.

Possible teams New Orleans could deal with they talked about are Portland who has an extra center (Robert Williams is from Louisiana) and Cleveland after they figure out bigger questions (Garland’s future + Mobley extension) than Jarrett Allen.

You can't praise AJJ and in the same breath tear down PJ Tucker. We're hoping Andre's energy and defensive improvement help the Bucks in a way that's beyond the box score just like PJ tucker did.

I hope the expectation of AJJ isn't anything more than him hitting open corner corner threes, scoring in transition and playing awesome on-ball defense.

Think you could get 1 or 2 attached with Wiggins who really isn't bad, in return for a few win now guys. I think a trade with them helps us now and helps extend the contending years

I wouldn’t mind adding Wiggins for the simple fact of extending Brook’s salary slot into 2026-27 which could be very beneficial for a future trade. Also having Wiggins allows Doc to manage Khris’ regular season minutes and gives them another POA defender they can use to close out games.

Deploying a lineup of Wright, Wiggins, Midds, Prince and Giannis when they are needing a stop with < 24 seconds is left in a game to seal the win seems like a good thing.

The team is not the same as the team that pj Tucker played on. Giannis, Khris, and Brook are not the same as the team that Pj Tucker played on. Pj Tucker does not matter

The only question is whether they'll end up making it here or elsewhere.

Brogdon?

Good call. He was another that looked the part right away.

LAC in the mix for DeRozan.

They’d have to trade either Norman Powell or Mann + PJ, right?

Bulls don’t need any of those guys.

AJJ can do, or can potentially do, so much more than PJ. AJJ can handle the ball, create off the dribble, and finish at the rim. Better rebounder.

To defend like prime PJ, he needs to get stronger. However, we didn't have prime PJ. Prime PJ would have been great for us.

True statement but also not very reassuring until he can show more on defense. As others mentioned, he looked lost and out of position far too often last season to be given the starting SG spot without showing significant improvement this offseason.

Asking AJJ to take a huge leap. I love the guy but don't see it.

Jackson might not be a starter even if he develops into a strong rotation player. He seems like a spark off the bench kind of guy.

People forget Nwora was good his rookie year as well. Every time he got big minutes he was lighting it up.

Was pretty apparent from the start he was full on Jabari though.

Totally, but he was doing a damn good Jabari/TJ Warren impression though.

Yeah but he can't do any of those things yet. Not with any level of consistency at least. Again, it'd be a massive win if he could hit corner 3s, score in transition and matchup against opposing team's best guard. We don't even know if he can do that yet.

PJ tucker played 30+ minutes a night for a championship team. To say we were winning in spite of him is incorrect.

Brook and Zion are both terrible rebounders. I can’t imagine the Pelicans wanting to pair those two up. That’s a disaster on the glass.

Derozan seems like too much of a class act to go to the Clippers newly assembled “Slime Squad.” Not sure how he fits in Sacramento but it’d definitely make Harrison Barnes expendable.

I would love to see Andre turn into this kind of player, but he showed almost no ability to score, much less create off the dribble in college. Projecting him to be that kind of player in the NBA is just a complete prayer.

Barnes has been expendable to a couple years now. The issue is the Kings cannot move him without adding value as he’s not a starting caliber player on a championship contender.

I think if LA could make a similar contract offer, DeRozan would definitely opt for that over the Kings. Probably stuck choosing between money vs. the place he actually wants to play.
