not for nothing, but there's a full version of this video where he does wear down a bit and clanks a few. expected imho.

but that don't change shyt for me. The fact that they locked him up gotta be because he's the backup PG already.

Looks like we signed him to a decent contract, they must really believe in him. Really looking forward to watching him in SL. I love a good passing guard

The lore runs deeper than that. It was minutes after the Knicks got him and people in the draft thread were saying he was their version of TJ McConnell. Except, I felt like his game more closely resembled Brunson's game than it did TJ because it does, it really does.

While I was pondering a 'white' Brunson knickname his picture flashed on the delayed stream I was watching and I thought he looked like Vanilla Ice. So minutes after he was drafted I called him vanilla Brunson in the draft thread.

Buzz posted that picture and commented about someone calling him it in the draft thread the day before, I responded with 'me'. After he was finally signed, I celebrated by posting side by side pics of them and exclaiming the new knickname.

So many years in the future when he is cemented as a Knicks legend for being the very important back up to Son of Rick Brunson because they finally break Ewing's curse to win a title you will be telling your grandkids '...and that's how he got the knickname Vanilla Brunson'.

This team is going to be so fun to watch. I just assumed they would fill out the roster with old grizzled vets but they actually restocked the franchise with young talent. It's just amazing to finally witness.

No you can't.

How about Iggy Brazdiekis

Is he Izzy or Iggy of doesn't it matter? We thought he'd be awesome, until we saw he wasn't.

But it must be a delusion - because "everybody knows" Thibs doesn't develop or play younguns. Remember those days?

Just like 'everybody knows' how hard Thibs runs his players in practice despite the laziest practice player in the NBA Hart says the opposite.

I wonder why the Knicks paid so much guaranteed money to Kolek, there has to be some reasoning behind it but I doubt we'll ever get a clear explanation as to why because they don't talk.

Is it they are really that high on him and want to lock him in for 4 years because they think it's going to be a team friendly deal sooner than later?

Not mad at it because it's still small money in the grand scheme of things but it is curious and piques the interest of the fans and basketball observers as to why.

At least Deuce had years with the Knicks and they watched him play in practice for those years knowing his development, Kolek is a rookie that hasn't had a single practice with the team yet.

Sure, they can be high on him but that's alot of confidence to have in one's own evaluation process to give record guaranteed money to him.

Tbh, I think that Kolek has the talent to be able to run the offense for about 5-10 minutes per game relatively soon. By relatively soon I mean at some point this coming season.

People forget that Donte will be playing 30 mpg off th bench. Minutes will be scarce.

Perhaps Thibs has finally committed to scaling back the starters minutes. As for Kolek, I'm sure they see his talent. And I personally think he'll be way better than anyone expects. They have been burned by the "wait and see" approach with IHart outplaying his contract...and have learned from that.

it is kinda nuts that he's the highest paid 2nd rounder in history.

at the same time, this FO has really earned my trust in the last few years.

It’s a really great contract for the Knicks. If he pans out it’s an absolute bargain. If not, the contract is still so cheap that it barely matters. Biggest contract in 2nd round history, but still only Pennies on the cap hit. Someone will break that record soon anywayy
