In Morey we trust....Offseason could have been a disaster but he pulled the rabbit out of his hat. Will be interesting to see if he balloons KJ Martin as a trade chip and for how much tax they are willing to pay.

I wanna like the Sixers, but man that FC is thin. Do they have a player besides Joel in their rotation thats bigger than 6'8? No starting PF, no backup pf and no C. They did what they could, i guess, but i dunno how you reasonably contend like this.

Didn’t they sign Drummond?

Drummond and the rookie Bona looks like he might be capable of some minutes. Not too worried about their center rotation. PF is small for sure however they want to run it. If they balloon KJ Martin they will have some options at the deadline to shore up the PF position. RoCo for the min is likely imo and he can still give 15+ minutes. Saric maybe?

Re: WOJ: Caleb Martin to Sixers
they're building a decent roster around their core considering the circumstances. What does the starting line up look like so far? I think Caleb would start over Oubre? or do they plan on starting both?

+1. Forgot about Drummond. Just non-existent PF's then or Oubre starting there.

Ballooning KJ can work with the picks they have.

PG is PF
PG defends well, but he doesnt play physical enough to play PF full time. He's a finesse guy, through and through

If KJ gets a balloon payment I think he's a playable option off the bench in the meantime, particularly next to Paul George.

As long as the Clips are adding a 1st, sounds good!

Caleb Martin isn't good it's not surprising he got 4/32. That said he's an upgrade over an empty roster spot.

Just like Pat Riley, I too am dumbfounded that he turned down 55 million bucks, he's pretty much just a guy.

How many front courts feature two players bigger than 6'8?

Re: WOJ: Caleb Martin to Sixers
I think they should vet min Morris + Covington and balloon contract KJ up to the 2nd apron for a trade deadline move. Bring back Lowry on vet min as well. Oubre off the bench as a scoring punch.
Maxey/Lowry/McCain
Martin/Gordon/Edwards (two-way)
George/Oubre/Council
Covington/Morris/Martin
Embiid/Drummond/Bona
Edit: Saric gone. Pivot to Marcus Morris.

2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:
Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

At this point can they flip a pick for a rookie scale player or do they need to wait until the season when they add minimus to the roster.
I assume the 2026 clippers pick and lessor of PHIl/Lac 28 will be dealt to upgrade this roster.
Health is a real concern, but if healthy, this is looking like the best team in the east
The Celtics are still better IMO, but they at least have a team that can compete, with the potential to add more before the deadline with those picks+potentially KJ on a trade-able deal.
If Embid could ever be 100% healthy deep in the playoffs (PG13 as well), that would make a huge difference and would cause big problems for the Celtics.
