Yeah, opting to save 11 million instead of "renouncing Miles Bridges" cap hold..

Go figure.

I'm totally shocked.

So we took on a partial buyout with Devonte' then cut Bertans to release cap for Josh Green.

How much cap space do we have including Miles" 15 million hold?

Roster now that Miles is back.

Melo - Micic - Jackson - KJ
Green - Mann - NSJ - Bryce
Miller - Martin - Leaky
Miles - Grant - Poku - Salaun
Mark - Richards

Still need to clean up some of the guards and get another big. We're really small in the frontcourt.

This = likely G-League guys So we have 13 spots filled on the senior team. Enough space for one more player, if we don't shop some of the guards (Jackson)

Do we have any money left to sign Paul Reed

So mid level exception available for a contributor. Need a big; Reed as a third center/Mark insurance? Trade for Naji?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Reed is a bit of a wildcard on the court and undersized for a 5 but good in a pinch and shot the 3 well last year - active at least. Achiuwa is definitely a 4 but OK small-ball 5 guy and knows how to play. Someone mentioned Biz. I'd be OK with him on a 1 year.

Any interest in Saddiq Bey as a backup to Miller? I think he's coming off a torn acl, but he's decent.

They need some more frontcourt depth. I wonder whats going to happen with Nnaji? I would at least like to see him have a chance to compete for the 3rd center spot, but I haven't been following his situation.

Thank heavens they saw the same things I saw with Bryce and dumped him.

Can't have poorly skilled on-ball players keep repeating isolation attempts.

You end up with Jalen McDaniels.

Nnaji had back surgery in June and they expect 4 months of recovery time and for him to remain in Barca this year.

Paul Reed

I'd offer Cody Martin.

They just acquired Caleb.

I'll keep repeating myself that they need to make Biz their Udonis Haslem. They could still sign a younger guy with more potential too.

They should just keep Martin unless someone REALLY wants him. He still might be their best PoA defender and hes cheap. He'll compete for the starting SG spot based on the current roster. I expect Green will win the spot largely due to being younger and healthier, but Martin is a solid backup wing on a team that needs all the defense and energy it can get.

They can probably just sign Reed unless something happened that I missed. I like him as an option.
