I’m on a little vacation and the thought came to me, “Damn NE, these trips to the elite-8 ain’t good enough. This season you gotta do better.” Just came on here to say, I can’t wait to get to work with Trae and Giannis duo. Winning means everything is my message to FA’s in the coming weeks. Back to the wife and kids I go. Have a blessed week BaF fam!

The Spurs while still an excellent team might of given the league hope after the curry trade, can’t wait to see who’s all in

Spurs are still runaway favourites to 4peat, barring a major trade don't see anyone close to stopping the Spurs.

yeah i wonder how much this move is going to affect the spurs. still a excellent team and still the favorites, but replacing curry with murray might make them beatable. i had jamal murray when i faced the spurs in the finals 2 years ago and curry just straight up dominated him

Steph Curry the Boogeyman around here.

Made all NBA once for me in 3 years (2nd team once).

This wasn't a two man show.

While it’s true your squad wasn’t simply a two-headed monster (cats are undervaluing your supplemental moves where you acquired the right efficient specialized role players), I still think enough teams have gotten better that it can’t just be assumed that it’ll be a 4-peat.

Oh I agree. The league has a lot of competitive teams maybe more than ever. Wasn't really arguing against an assumed 4-peat (never would assume a chip too much goes into that to assume anything) was arguing against I let the league back in with the Curry trade and that this was just a 2 man show.

I've got 3 small moves in the pipeline ready to submit when transactions open back up. Nothing too crazy, just some reorganizing. Then we shall see how Free Agency plays out!

i don't think anyone was saying it was just a 2 man show. but im just speaking from experience, curry was too much for me to handle when i faced the spurs in the finals twice. and i had jamal murray one of those times. curry averaged 30 PPG in the post season when i faced him with murray and i couldn't match him. so going from curry to murray is a downgrade, just don't know how big it will be. of course the spurs have a bunch of great complimentary players as well, no one is discrediting that and they're still the favorites

Fair points. I respect the competitor in you for insinuating teams like yours may have a better shot to unseat the champs without Curry.

Meanwhile it’s embarrassing how Hoffa yapping about how he’s basically ready to just hand the trophy over to the champs again in the off-season. Coming from a legit contender with 3 superstars, that’s mad weak. If anything, he should be figuring out a way to beat the champs. Not claiming he (nor anyone else) has a shot to win the trophy.

All that's fair but curry 3 years ago isn't the same Curry. I think the year you are referencing our 1st finals against he was coming off 3rd in the MVP voting IRL. That year he had insane #'s 32 ppg in crazy splits.

It certainly is a downgrade in scoring. But there are areas where I believe Murray will exceed Curry in the SIM. Also think Rui will be a big time contributor and the extra space I saved helped me acquire NAW who had a good year defensively.

So yes 1 for 1 production wise maybe a downgrade. But I think I got better in other areas as well especially when you can save $100 in a deal along with other assets.
