Replace Tatum with Booker on the 2022-24 Celtics. Who wins?

I’d say 2/3.

I don’t think Booker gets the Cs past the Bucks in 2022. If Booker is in the 2022 finals though I imagine the Celtics get it done in 6. However that’s a moot point, Tatum had some incredible games all culminating in a 46 pt G6 clinic, despite laying an egg in the finals.

Booker wins 2023, no question. He was unconscious in the playoffs that year. I think the Celtics Sixers series still goes 7, but Celtics beat the Heat in 6. I just can’t imagine Booker disappearing down the stretch completely the first two games at home like Tatum did. Booker is a top shelf scorer and has certified go to moves that he can rely on in the clutch, unlike Tatum.

2024 was a great win for the Celtics but Tatum wasn’t even the bus driver. Obviously the Celtics win with Booker. You could replace Tatum with Scottie Barnes or Pascal Siakam and the Celtics still get it done.

What is this weird obsession you have with Tatum? I guess you know you have arrived as a player when you have a dedicated hater creating threads about you.

No, I’m a fan of Booker and also a Celtics fan.

I hate Stephen Curry more than Tatum.

I think Tatum is overrated but having Booker anywhere near him is a huge stretch. Tatum does a lot more of the little things that contribute to winning than Booker. Weird thread…

Didnt Booker shoot close to 70% TS in the playoffs the last two seasons on dysfunctional rosters? How is this remotely weird?

Tatum has access to an endless supply of bibs, pacifiers, diapers, and has been mollycoddled by Brad and Ainge with an insane supporting cast the last 2 years and is still not pulling the weight of a #1 option. Hovering around 54% TS with the roster he has? Cmon now.
