Re: Miami Heat Offseason Thread Vol. 4: Fraudfather Snoozin 2.0
The Godfather successfully avoided gutting the team to give 34-year-old playoff choker DeMar DeFrozen a bloated contract. This offseason will go down as one of the best all-time in Miami Heat history.
The Godfather is now hard at work resisting the urge to give Jagsmith a contract. Let’s see if he nails another one.

23 Mill for Derozan isn't a bad contract.

Ungrateful “fans” saying “we don’t even attract flies.”

The Godfather delivered Alec Burks and these clowns are worrying about flies.

We still got to deal with Lavine and Lauri links. Should be fun.

Re: Miami Heat Offseason Thread Vol. 4: Fraudfather Snoozin 2.0
Heat currently have the 2030 first rd pick to trade. With the snap of the Godfather’s fingers he can just remove the 2027 protections the Hornets have to open up 2029 and 2031. Lauri is a “realistic target”. Be patient maybe a bigger star like Anthony Edwards shakes free. The godfather offer of Herro, Duncan, Jovic, JJJ, and 2 1st will get it done.

Realistically, Lauri, Ingram, Lavine, Tyus Jones, Kuzma, and possibly Beal/ Durant are the names to watch.

By the way im dead serious about firing Andy.. if he is the one that is making these ridiculous contract valuations over the last 2 decades.. he has got to go. He does not have a clue how to measure the value of a player and their contract. We have a history of overpaying players and we just got saved by calebs agent by turning us down.. we almost had another bad contract with the two other horrid contracts in duncan and herro.. and we just got rid of lowrys vomitous contract

Defense is an effort thing. It only comes into focus deeper into the playoffs, the Kings are trying to get to the playoffs period. Defense is not played in the regular season so they should be ok and make the playoffs which seems to be the goal. They wont advance far but at least make the playoffs in the West which is a good accomplishment.

I’d rather Ingram over DeRozen at any rate. Whatever. Run it back.

Re: Miami Heat Offseason Thread Vol. 4: Fraudfather Snoozin 2.0
Pels are going to want Jovic or JJJ for Ingram. In order to match salaries Duncan, Herro, and Jovic will have to be traded. Jeff Schwartz is going to want Ingram extended the moment he steps foot here.

Andy is not the one signing and giving out those contracts, that squarely on Pat.

Neither one of you is correct. Andy is the GM in name, Riley is the team president. Neither is solely responsible for personnel decisions that are made.

Going by Barry, the Heat make decisions as a group. Pat is just the face of it.

Andy is the math guy that will relay it to Riley, then Pat will relay the numbers to Mickey for the ultimate decision.
