Bertans is dynamite during the regular season, but situational at best in the POs, defense on both ends becomes an issue for him usually. He'll get some nice blocks at times, though.

Lotta 3 but not too much D.

So who’s left to get markkanen? Warriors?

And does this sound familiar?

Apparently Sixers fans are supposed to forget that he just said a week ago that he "isn't chasing championships," and ignore that he'll pivot right back to that stance this time next year after he chokes in the playoffs again. Good luck, Philly. So glad he's some other team's headache now.

You know the Clippers are trying something but this seems to be the reality.

Zubac' 15 ppg season incoming. Better sign him an extension now before it gets more expensive.

DeRozen would have been nice. Time to pivot our plans. Anyway we can convince the clearly tanking Nets to give us Cam Johnson (Long contract) for expiring contracts?

Bones, Russ, Amir & PJ works contract-wise, but we'd have to get some draft assets for a couple of them first. That's just a thought, prob too much of a long shot.

I've heard Grant William's name mentioned a few times too. PJ Tucker + Bones could nab him.

Derozan would have been nice because he is very durable and could have made up some of the scoring that may be lacking with pg gone and Kawhi being unreliable health wise.

Cam Johnson would definitely be a solid pick up. They should also engage Utah regarding Collins

I understand why Dunn is held up since we’re trying to work something out with Utah. What’s the hold up on the others? Any trades have to be made first then signings?

Wouldn't mind Grant Williams, would basically be what PJ Tucker was in his prime but with some better offense. Solid utility PF on both ends with good strength, and spacing the floor. Would be able to do some nice switching defensive line ups.

Cam Johnson would be a very good pick up, and work well in smaller line ups.. being a PF primarily would be better than Mann, but has good wingspan.

Would prefer John Collins or Paul Reed the most out of anyone.

Also a couple darkhorses still out there for big forward who I like are Oshae Brissett (Pacers > Celtics, going into 5th year), and Trendon Watford (Nets, going into 4th year in league). Both have decent enough size to be hybrid forwards primarily as a PF, and can space the floor out to three.

Chimezie Metu still out there as well, I think.

We were supposed to get the SL roster yesterday. It’s slow right now so even that’s exciting to me. lol it’s here now.

Weird. They’ve since removed it but it’s posted elsewhere.

Then there’s this. Going to be a whole lot off season questions that Lawrence Frank won’t be able to answer.

Even if it’s minor only the Clippers can have an injury all ready.

Without checking, I'm gonna posit that point guards are born, not made. Like a QB, just "knowing" where everybody is without thinking about it, your guys and the opps as well.

Magic Johnson of course. CP3. Bird and Luka have it. Combo guards do not--they can go through the motions of bringing the ball up and setting up the offense, but that's not the same thing. I'm not even sure high-assist guys like Russ and Beard and Trae Young have it: They can make the pass but they're also like QBs who throw a lot of INTs. Iverson. They miss a lot.

They tried to teach T-Mann, but he really can't do it. Paul George became the secondary ballhandler. JJ Redick couldn't do it either. Powell. It's so unconscious you could call it a feel thing. I guess what I'm saying is maybe you can turn a SG into a combo guard but you can't make a combo guard into a true PG.

Maybe the fact that the Lakers gave his son a 4 year $7.9 million contract which is fully guaranteed?

Not sure if that's typical for a #55 pick.

Maybe he might have not been drafted at all and he'd have been an undrafted free agent, in which case that contract would be even less likely.

I like the ideas here. Grant Williams, Cameron Johnson, John Collins.

What about Malcolm Brogdon, Kyle Kuzma. What's also so bad about Vucevic.
