One of my faves from the last draft cycle. Here matched up against the best center prospect in the draft.

yang is very turnover prone
plus most chinese players don't make it in the NBA
he will need to prove himself in a very real and big way over the next year

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS
I love the top of this class for international players.
Hugo Gonzalez
Igor Denim
Nolan Traore
VJ Edgecombe
But I'm not big on Malauch yet. He never looks good when I try and watch.

I just watched the Duke scrimmage and Malauch is good, but nothing special.
Of course, it's a long season and I'm not gonna draw any conclusions from a fricken scrimmage. lol

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS
Raps should be able to be in the 8-14 range which im fine with in this draft. A lot more top heavy talent to choose from. Just keep loading up on talent

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS
I'm all in on Edgecombe after watching him dominate this FIBA Olympic Qualifier and looking like the clear best player on his team at just 18 years old. He completely overshadowed Hield, Gordon and Ayton. Very composed/mature, but also playing with a lot of emotion/motor. Showed that he's a two-way player. Great looking shot. He would have been the consensus number one pick in 2024 draft and it wouldn't have been close.
For me, jury is still out on Flagg's ceiling at the next level.

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS
Not really one to endorse tanking unless it's a pivot mid-season but this is the year to tank from the jump.
Knowing the teams luck, we'll somehow make the play-in and miss out on the top guys.

Both 2025 and 2026 drafts have generational talent and lots of players with All-NBA potential.
We need to acquire more first round picks from those two drafts.

I love Edgecombe's shooting mechanics. Most of what he takes is always on balance just like Kawhi. He can stop on a dime and just rise straight up into his jumper with a ton of consistency.

Yup, that also got my attention. That balance and composure is something you more oftenly see from veteran players. It will be really interesting to see him today against Spain in the Olympic Qualifier Final, fighting for that one ticket to the Olympics. Game starts in 9 hours from now. I really hope they make it so that we can also see Edgecombe compete against strong teams like Canada and maybe even Team USA if they do well.

I'm aware. Hence why I said the 2026 draft is stacked as well!
GOTTA LOAD UP ON THOSE PICKS!
If Poeltl can land you a 2025 or 2026 first round pick, you do it!

Whoops I missed your post just above your other one.
Darko has already gushed about the strength of the 2025+2026 drafts, so I wouldn't be surprised if the bolded is how the organization is thinking at the moment. I think they view those 2 drafts coming up as the next shot they will get to grab a co-star for Scottie.

Re: 2025 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS
5-star wing recruit class of 2025 Will Riely reclassified to the class of 2024 & has committed to Illinois. After striking out in the portal they figure to feature the reclassified Canadian wing. Arizona UK & Illinois, New Zealand Breakers were in his final 5.
6'8 bucket getter modern wing.

Contemplating renaming the thread title to "2025 & 2026 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS"
I mean... we do have two first round picks in the 2026 draft, might as well start discussing the draft.
