Stephen Curry Doesn't Want To Play For Anyone But Warriors

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jul 8, 2024 12:55 pm

While talking about what it means to see Klay Thompson leave the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry was asked about his own future with the team. Curry was resolute in his answer.

"Being in one place for my own career, and it's like a broken record, but I know it's really hard to do that," Curry said. "I want to be greedy and say we can be relevant and be in the mix and give ourselves a realistic chance to win while I'm still growing these gray hairs and doing high school visits in the Bay [Area] for my daughter. It's crazy. [It's] just the nature of where I'm at. But yes, all that to say I love the Bay and the Bay is home and I never want that to change."

Curry is set to enter his 15th season with the Warriors. He was two seasons left on his contract through the 2025-26 season.

Alright, so the Dubs plan is to get under the tax and ride out the last couple years of Curry's career. Call it the extended retirement tour.

If that's what you take by them letting Klay go and making some big expensive moves, I'm not sure what I could say to your monkey brain. What a weird translation of this article you made, there.

They are under the tax what expensive moves? They signed some cheap contracts and made no trades.. I dont think letting klay go is the worst thing but they havent made any moves to make them a contender.
