We knew we were **** this offseason. Outside of the draft, we had extremely limited options to improve.

We have to get from under the $100 mil a year we owe to Jimmy, Herro and Duncan.

Just off load Duncan to Utah for the 2026 2nd and pick swap in 2029. Sign Dinwiddie or Fultz with the 5.2. Have plenty of money to be very selective with 15th roster spot. Would even put us in play to sign a big money buyout.

Utah has 37 million in cap space and must meet the salary floor. Ainge has to stop trying to fleece everyone and eat a salary for a reasonable cost.

Detroit comes in second to Utah with 21.1 million left in space but after absorbing Hardaway Jr and signing Beasley i think they hold off on taking someone like Duncan or Herro for that matter.

What would a Derozan acquisition look like for Miami though? Surely we would have to send out salary right?

Between the trade that ended up going down, the salary involved and tweets from Barry and others, feel pretty certain instead of Harrison Barnes it'd be Duncan Robinson on the spurs.
Kings had to give up a 2031 frp swap to spurs. Maybe if they liked Duncan more they wouldn't have demanded any pick compensation to take Duncan.

Also not sure how it would've affected getting haywood for 2-11M

Lmao. Some of us didn't want Dame due to his last two years. So Miami gonna revisit when he's two years older and give up assets to get him at 54M and 58M? Which is exactly what we wanted to avoid...
Come on. Sometimes they just throw stuff out there to be aggregated. Lazy. Hope to god we learned from Lowry 3-90M deal

Any trade that involves Duncan going into any space is going to involve a pick. Nobody is taking 19.4 of Duncan for free. Yes i think we can dump him much like Barnes for a 2029 pick swap. We should do that deal with Utah. Ainge just probably being a dick

I think the miami heat have surreptitiously Throw in the towel For this summer, I think the Last chance we had of making this team better was paring Paul George and Bam or Mitchell and Bam... Getting rid of JB or hero Or even duncan, jovic or j j j... Would be stupid as of NOW
