Magic-Kings
Magic get Sabonis
Cole, KCP, Wagner, Paolo, Sabonis -- Black, Harris, Howard, Mo
Magic embrace a Nuggets style offense with bigs providing the passing to perimeter shooters. Magic get the all star and give up some youth.
Kings get Isaac, Suggs, WCJ
Fox, Suggs, DeMar, Murray, Isaac -- JMac, Monk, Huerter, WCJ
Kings get a stronger defensive identity to surround Fox and DeMar leading the offense.

Re: Magic-Kings
you say perimeter shooters but none of cole/wagner/paolo are good 3pt shooters. Also what happened to WCJ?
Also i dont think Isaac can be traded after his reneg and extend?

Re: Magic-Kings
This makes no sense for Sacramento. Sabonis is a much better player than anyone the Kings are receiving--which is a role playing PG in Suggs and a 15-20 MPG Defensive stud in Isaac.
However, Sabonis is an All-Star and All-NBA Talent and by far the Kings best player. No chance they trade him for 2 role players.
For the Magic, it's hard to pass on the massive talent disparity here, even if the fit isn't great.

I have this as not close. I don’t value Isaac though. Even if I did….
Sabonis to the Magic includes Wagner as the starting point.

He got one 4th place vote, I'd hardly call that an MVP candidate. On that standard you'd have to also call KD an MVP candidate last year since he got one 5th place vote. Sabonis was 3rd team All-NBA, not 1st. He deserved his spot but let's not get carried away.
But yeah, not a trade Sac should do. The team getting the best player in these 2-1 type deals is almost always winning. I get where Zimpy is coming from in terms of defensive needs for Sac though.

6th at nba.com mvp ladder, and would tend to be on other ladders. A lot of the second team wouldn’t be as foundational imo

Looks like this was a reach. Was trying to get some defense sorted out for the Kings. Maybe a different angle.
I'm not feeling the DeMar and Sabonis fit and do think Kings have looked held back by Sabonis in playoff type games

Yes I did mean to have WCJ going to Kings, fixed now.
Trade could happen in Jan.

I don’t see how Monte can do it without Wagner as the base.

Maybe that is possible but doesn't seem smart for either team. Kings have their wings with Murray and DeMar.

Small sample size but inserting Keon into the starting lineup the last few months had kings as a solid defense. Fox-keon-keegan were really good on that end. Derozan for Barnes doesn't change much. I like suggs but he's the only interesting piece here and you don't move sabonis for another guard.

Re: Magic-Kings
Doesn’t make sense for either side…3 of ORL’s top 6 for a great player who doesn’t really fit next to Paolo & Franz. Serious young defensive cornerstones and starting C would be impossible to replace for Mosley’s whole team identity.
